at 18:00 if he would have rolled double 6's that unit would have wavered. you can alway make a unit waver on a double 6 regardless of wounds. a lot of mistakes in this video, its ok for showing people how to move and the steps of the game, but a bunch of errors were made. One last rule error I noticed (sheesh) is that Shambling units still get double movement on charges. They simply can't be given an "On the Double" order.

I don't think the dwarves should have been able to shoot at the skeletons at around the 23:00 mark. They took a point of damage in the previous round, so they should have been disordered and unable to shoot.

Currently painting up my Dwarves and so far have gotten 40 x Handgunners, 20 x Crossbows & 50 old GW Imperial Dwarves done out of the 320 Dwarven Infantry that I currently own. Kings of War is still a bucket of dice game which something I do not like.
-Cavalry should have been able to charge the cannon a turn earlier (as they can move double while charging). Clipping the building would have made it a "hindered charge". -Undead cavalry charge on the cannon should have added the thunderous charge bonus. -Dwarven handguns shouldn't have been able to make shots in any turn in which they took melee damage the turn previously. -The claim is made that heroes flanking can double their attacks on the flank...not true. It's actually a pretty good learning experience just checking up on all of their mistakes :p
make your cheat sheet have the special rules next time. So many missed opportunities for healing with Evil Dead. No shooting should have happened after charging because of melee causes Disrupted.Then your necro has no attack spells? He could have attacked at 27 mins onto the video. About 8 mistakes in total and all in the dwarf favor.
The bounce back seems a little odd. Why don't you just keep the units 1" apart? Also, how can a unit that's engaged in melee with an enemy unit stand and shoot said enemy unit? Is this one of the mistakes they made? The buckets o' dice also looks like it'd get really annoying really quickly. Otherwise the game looks pretty good
Man, so many odd mistakes. Several rounds of combat with the Zombies, he left successful dice on the table when rolling To Hit. Should've rolled anyway whenever units weren't 'able' to be Wavered, as Boxcars will always Waver a unit. Disrupted means you can't shoot after a bounced charge (that cannon). And 7+3 does not equal 9, so the Rifles should have been Wavered there. Seriously guys, pay some more attention! Those counters are nice though - where do they come from?
Is it just me, or is it weird that units stay 100% combat effective even though they've been taking wounds? I feel like if a unit of Skeles took some rifle fire and took casualties, they should be getting less attacks in the following melee...
irishmarine3 It's what sets this game apart from most other fantasy games. That rule adds a different element to the game that makes it interesting in my opinion. Small units of missile troops stay effective even when damaged and large horde units get a set line of attacks which helps them against units with small frontage but makes them no more effective against units with large frontage.
I really like this effort, nicely done video and all. But hey, if you were planning for a demo-game, really, you probably should get all the rules right. That way, one gets a more honest presentation of the game. Better play a bit slower, and get the rules right, than just rush it through. And next time, since this is supposed to be a demo game and not just two random people playing, go through the video next time BEFORE uploading it, correcting the mistakes.

That was great fun to watch and has convinced me to give Kings of War a try!
So, basically, the Dwarves were able to shoot WAY more than they should have in this game.

Also, at 44:00, the pivot would count as a move, so since the Ironwatch have Reload!, they wouldn't be able to shoot.

are you sure you were right with the cannon? 2D6 sounds like V1 shooting and not V2. Also, you forgot to add +1 for long range on shooting
