Not Quite a Chateau, No. 1 - Introduction to our French house DIY project, and moving to France

  • It's not quite a Chateau but it is an old Relais De Poste(Coaching Inn) and there are more than 40 rooms to renovate, so it's a big DIY project.
We are Jane and Tony from the UK and we will be moving to our house in France VERY soon I hope.
I show you around a few bits of the property and tell you a little about us and our area of France, The Berry Region, and our plans for some of the rooms.

I've just subscribed as I didn't realise that you didn't own a chateau!! I came across your vlog a bit ago but with all the chateaus wanting your subscription I can only watch so many. But, now after viewing how much you are involved with the lives of so many I watch I am now adding your channel and going to watch from the beginning (4 years ago!!!). Tony you are a champion in problem solving and I wish you all the best as you conquer each obstacle.

I think the out buildings will be a big project. Much work to do.Ur property is Huge. Hope you and ur husband do very well on this restoration, it will be exciting and very interesting to see your updates. Thank you for the tour Jane👍

Hi Ralph, yes it was very frustrating being stuck in the UK for months and not being able to get here and get on with it. But that is when I discovered the other Chateau vlogs on RUclips, which is what inspired me to create one myself. There was some fear mixed in with the excitement yes and we are still not clear on the order of projects yet. Film in horizontal. Your video is already showing up in chateau restoration lovers RUclips feeds so subscribers will start to go up, so start posting as many videos as possible, so the algorithm takes you seriously and you get more subscribers fast !! Lots of good luck !! Hate taxidermy 🤮

I would have him move all the dead heads into a study. Not everybody enjoys them and some are creeped out.

I wish you all the best in making your dreams come true. Hey everyone, give the folks a chance to show the place before you start asking your questions. Remember this is their first video. Jane and Tony will answer our questions shortly I am sure.

Thanks SLS, yes we are getting quite a lot of questions.
I try to reply to all the comments but we are getting so many it may not be possible to reply to them all soon, So, I plan to do a video after this weekends one, to tell what we paid(keep getting asked that) and our budget and plans, plus a bit more about why we chose to move here etc.
So if you have any questions please post them here and we will try to answer them.
Also in answer to another comment I suggested that before that video, people have a guess as to what we paid for all the buildings?
      Post your best guess here.........
