For my debt trackers, I like to use the statement balance. At that point, it's already accounted for any interest accrued plus any payments I made through the billing period. 😊
I love tracking my progress of my debt pay off. It is so motivational. Great tool to look at when you don’t feel like you have made any progress! April

Kumiko, this is my first year using your planner and method and I want to get it right. However, I am unsure of how to categorize the fee we pay to our accountant for our personal income tax filing. My categories are food, utilities, shelter, transportation, savings, entertainment, credit card and medical. And also, what we pay in to its for taxes, I would assume could be in a sinking fund for taxes but I'm not sure about the accountant fee.
Love the idea of using a different color to know how much saved each month and the idea of skipping a line when filling the tracker. Great video as always ❤

I work in my vehicle and I totally get you! I looked at the last 2 years of unexpected vehicle needs then divided by 12. ($200 a month) Now I set that amount aside each month and it does absorb most of the unexpected expenses

I remember the student loan debt one you had up. This is a much need video for me due to I wanted to start tracking visually to keep me motive. I was wondering what type of paper do you use for the tracker so when you color it in it won’t blend through the paper. Also do you still use your cannon 9120. For car loans the monthly payment is the same and it includes the interest. I have a 60 month loan so should I calculate my total car payments for 60 months and put that as the total amount for the tracker?
Question concerning acct balances. If I put “$100” in a sinking fund envelope then spend $200, when I add the $100 next month, is the balance on envelope $0 or $100?

If there's only $100 in the envelope then you can only spend $100.
