Lymphatic filariasis, commonly known as elephantiasis, is a parasitic infection caused by filarial parasites transmitted to humans through mosquitoes. There are three types of these thread-like filarial worms responsible for the disease:
Wuchereria bancrofti: This type is responsible for 90% of the cases.
Brugia malayi: It causes most of the remaining cases.
Brugia timori: This type also contributes to the disease

I would like to humbly correct you sir. Actually Nile doesn’t feed Lake Tana or Lake Tanzania, the actual case is* exactly opposite & also The Nile river drains into the Mediterranean Sea.
