Thanks man. I do hope we can give it another swing. The property owners were a little apprehensive, and to be honest this parcel of woods we were on isn’t huge. Their property was only a couple hundred feet wide- but I’m convinced there are still goodies left there. I have another video that’s yet to come out from this same property and in it I dig a VERY interesting coin

New sub here, number 700! Love the Civil War buttons, just found a New Hampshire Vol. Militia one up here. Great video and awesome finds! I really really loved the history behind the button at the end. Looking forward to watching more of your content. Happy hunting and good luck from Jim and Mason, New Hampshire USA.
Jim and Mason- what an awesome thing to say! I can’t tell you how much we appreciate the kind words! Congrats on that New Hampshire button. We have dug a ton of buttons down here but that one escapes us so far! Please consider joining the FB group too! Can tell you how much I appreciate it!
Nice finds. I have been detecting around Columbia, Tennessee and surrounding counties for over 50 years. I always like to see what other folks are finding. I love my civil war finds probably the most. Found a lot of carved bullets and game pieces.
Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment! You are so lucky to live where you do! I just got back from a trip to Nashville, Murfreesboro, Franklin and Spring Hill! I wasn’t digging but man I sure did get to see a ton of cool Civil War sites that I’m sure you’re super familiar with!
I don’t disagree with that- but this is a very very late war site. I could be wrong but I really don’t think there were many smooth bore muskets still being used that late in the war. Who knows- I could be off base. We sure appreciate you watching man! Thanks
That’s so cool of you to check out the video and leave a comment! Thank you! We love relic hunting Civil War sites! Thanks for the sub! We are slowly but surely trying to grow the channel a bit! Happy Hunting!
Haha he is a button hound! No matter where we go that dude is on it! Thanks so much man for watching! Let me know if you have any suggestions on the videos. I know the audio at times isn’t great and I’m going to be ordering me a lapel microphone to hopefully help with that
@@TobaccoRoadRelics zero critique or offer. Your videos aren’t fluff and stuff, basically raw and how detecting is in my opinion, that’s what I like. You be you sir.
Always stoked when you guys put out a new video! That carved bullet…probably just a wild ass guess, but I’m wondering if someone wasn’t goofing around trying to carve a pipe bowl or something? Strange how they incorporated the hollow in the bottom to connect to another hole in the side…we’ll probably never know. Love your guys content, so jealous you guys get to dig that era of relics…we have very little civil war era relics up here in Oregon. Guess that’s the best part of RUclips; we get to live vicariously through you. Keep up the awesome content!
Man that is just so cool you watching and taking the time to comment. You know is it’s funny- I actually did consider it could have been some kind of a pipe or that’s what it might have been intended to be after the fact. I just think pieces of history like that are so cool. Just to think that the very last person before me to hold it was a soldier gets my blood flowing. Buddy- comments like yours are what motivates us and keeps up moving. We will have a lot more content coming up soon and we already have another two day hunt on the calendar coming up soon. I hope you dig a ton of cool stuff this year! Thank you!
Congrats on that! I was so happy for Travis to get that button! They are so rare and I know he’s been contacted by a few people trying to purchase his button but I believe he loves it too much to part with it. It cleaned up so good too! Lots of gold gilt was still left on it! Thanks for watching!
Great suggestion Mickey! One thing I will say is making videos is foreign to me. I suppose I’ve learned a few things along the way, but I could absolutely do a better job with that moving forward and I will. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback and watching! It means a ton!
Thanks man. It’s hard to tell with lead. Impossible to date a round ball just by looking at them, but given the other Civil War bullets close by I’d guess they’re from then too. I appreciate you watching out the video and checking in. Much appreciated!
Hey Chris, hope all is well good buddy. Did you happen to snap your coil where the shaft connects on your Box. I saw what looks like a red replacement piece. Mine snapped late last year and a fellow detectorist offered to 3D print me some replacement pieces. In a week I was back in action.
Hey Dan! Actually mine didn’t break, but I know that they are susceptible to breaking there commonly. A buddy of mine bought the red thing that you saw in the video and gave it to me. It basically slides in and offers support and protection on the detector, at the location where breaking occurs most, to keep that from happening. Thanks so much for checking in. I’m so excited I finally ordered wireless mics for filming videos. No more spotty audio! Yayy
Let me tell you…Travis can sniff out those crazy cool buttons. I think he’s found like five confederate buttons the last six times we’ve been out. Just crazy!

This is just a theory but you may have found a spot where two engagements occurred, at least partially, in the same vicinity. OR, early in the war the spot you are in may have been a training camp where target practice was staged (.69 rb) and later a skirmish or part of a battle.

Nice work guys.
