We always ate the seed pods and called them wild pickles. You can add it in your fresh green juice.

Yellow wood sorrell is my favorite plant to just grab and eat... You have some purple dead nettle right beside your knee as well. Another great plant

I enjoy them in my salad with purple cabbage, romaine , red onion, red leaf lettuce and celery. I pour lemon, olive oil and herb dressing! Yum! Also love in smoothies. I have violet ones too! Just tried yellow flower today. Thanks for the info. How much is too much? 1/2 cup every day?

Question, Yellow Wood Sorrel comes in a maroon sort of reddish color with vaguely hairy stems, yes?

+Bonefetcher Brimley correct it certainly does. In fact I like that color the best.
Please be careful though and make sure your identification is correct. Wood sorrel is easy to identify though. Thank you for watching.

Was watching Fit farmer. It was discribe as sweet and the bods like a hard candy. I have seen plants simalar just not sure.
Are there plants that look simalar? Are they poison? Is it found in the north west.

Question. Are the seed pods eatable? I was reading through the comments and it seams so. We have a lot growing around heat in northwest Floridia.

Every time I gather edible plants and bring them home to rinse and eat - there are ants and spiders on them. Have you ever eaten a bug?
