2ne1 was one of the groups that introduced me to kpop. It really hits me how modern they were but also way ahead of their time, and not just musically - their style, their energy, the amount of creative control they had (especially for a girl group) was so amazing. Even at debut they didn't seem like rookies. Their music still hits me in way that makes me miss this era of kpop so much.
2NE1 REMAINS THE MOST ICONIC AND LEGENDARY GROUP IN KPOP. They are KPOP. PERIOD. I am so obsessed with their fashion before that I started to dress up more because of them. They are the OG Fashionista's. No matter how weird their outfits are, they are the only group who always pull it off. Good old times was in their generation. It's been years and still no one can surpass the stage presence of 2NE1. 2009 was when the standard was already set. No doubt this group will go down in history. 2NE1 FOREVER AND EVER.
I always thought music show performances were kind of stiff and practiced down to smiling for the cameras. But 2NE1 always came out and performed like it was their concert even at debut. They cut loose and really PERFORMED multiple times a week every week. I think that combined with the fact that they really were carving out their own totally original space amongst girl groups helped them solidify themselves as Those Girls™️. Everybody was in their rear view mirror.
Powerhouse voices on live , Dara just really blends with them., unique song melodies and and voices.. Dara is so beautiful at @13:07 . I miss Bom voice and voices with CL complements each other .Minzy has so beautiful voice cracking registration..their concept is so futuristic..
