It’s been a cool experience! Trips I took with my parents are definitely some of my fondest memories from my childhood, and hopefully they will remember these as well. 😊
What an incredible adventure. Full of memories for the kids. Weather like that sure helps hone in your skills. Keep up the good work. Can't wait for the Bonneville content. You've sold me the whole seat. But I only need the edge!💯
Working on editing tonight. We had a several hour power outage thanks to a snowstorm, but we’re back in the saddle! Thanks for the support and can’t wait to see what you think of the land speed racing content. 💪🏼
thanks for sharing your adventures of the uintahs. brought back so many memeories of my time in those mtns. glad y'all got to experience the monsoonal rain storms. ive been hiking in 80deg weather to being snowed on in the same day. one of utahs most scenic adventures
That mountain range will likely mean rain everyday- so your expedition thoughts are valid. We had to rain gear up every day. Thanks for the comment and your support!
What a nice fishing hole. Here as with your home its snowing and watching this makes one long for summer and a trip., Keep your excellent videos going.
Great tip. I have used it on our cars, I always forget to apply it to our UTV. I’ll have to add that to our checklists in my book when I do a second edition…
This video helped me choose the tent I'm buying this year. Me and my daughters family went camping last year, I was a day behind her. She got downpours her 1st night, everything soaked. We live in UPSTATE New York, NO where near SH1THOLE L1BERAL city!!!!
😂 glad the video was helpful!! Glad you don’t have to live in NYC!! Update New Yorkers get a bad rap because of NYC. Everyone I’ve met from upstate have been phenomenal people! Cheers!
Another great video !! We have another trip to Iron River in June. We started using GMRS radios for group rides because of poor cell reception in some places.
Thanks for the support! On this trip we had 1.5 bars of cell coverage on one mountain top and when we were at the restaurant near flaming gorge and that was it. Kinda loved it though!
We’ve been looking at this tent, and watching it get through that storm has sold us! Did you add any waterproofing to it on your own or is it just stock? Thanks for the great videos.
It held up great. We had a little seepage through the floor but we were basically in a stream for a couple hours. We did not add any water proofing. It kept us pretty dry - I was impressed!
Thanks! Held up really good. Minor seepage through the floor where we were standing and a couple drips - but this was “go build an Ark” kind of rain. Our tent was basically pitched in the middle of a stream 😂 I genuinely was impressed how well it did and I’ve been camping in tents all my life.
as usual, a great video Adrian. You guys are tough, and so are the kids, my hats off to you. Question, what radio band do you recommend? I installed the Rugged Radio Intercom, and have leaned toward GMRS over Business Band. The Rugged Radio Intercom plugs directly into their mobile radios (a nice feature). The RR headphones do wonders for the engine noise above 35-45 mph.
Thanks! Appreciate it! I would go GMRS, it’s what we have. You need to go online and get an FCC license but it’s just paying for the permit really nothing else to it. GMRS has more power than MURS or FRS so you’ll get better range. We’ve actually been thinking about another intercom system. Ours has been alright but the headsets don’t fit well in the kids new helmets and we’ve been getting a lot of interference noise lately… we may be looking at a Rugged Radio system in the future.
Ours has worked perfectly since I installed it. I bought the noise filter that RR sells, but never needed it. They also recommended wiring it directly to the battery to prevent a 'ground loop", but I wired it to the Polaris Buss Bar so it powers down with the key. That also has not caused any problems. May have to wire the radio power as Rugged recommends, we will see. Oh I already got the GMRS license.
Storage. We have the upper vinyl door halves but there’s just no place to put them. So they either have to stay on and it’s really hot in nice weather, or we have to deal with the elements. We figure part of the adventure is dealing with the elements!
kinda late to the video not sure if u will see this queation but what kind of milage do u get in ur general ? and how much extra fuel do u carry to extend ur range ?
Depends on how we’re riding, 15 is pretty common. High RPMs, going up mountains obviously reduces it. When we top off the tank, we can fit about 10 gal in the tank, so we figure 130 miles on a tank is pretty safe, and I’m pretty sure we’ve gone at least 150 without running out of fuel. We carry two, 3 gallon RotoPax Jerry cans. So with those 6 gal, that should give us a comfortable range of about 200 miles, probably more like 220-240 though I don’t like to push my luck! 😆
yeah, it would have some advantages. But the Xpedition wasn’t out when we bought the General. We’ve heard some complaints about noise too on the Xpedition. Everything sealed up I guess it’s pretty noisy inside.
Im here for the dad jokes!
Thank you! I was trying to tell her…. -A
Awesome! That's a trip that certainly tests your gear and skills. Makes great memories!
For sure- it’s a different kind of fun that’s not for everybody- but man those memories are worth it!
What an awesome trip, rain is all about the adventure. Really enjoyed this, can’t wait to see where you end up next.
Thank you! Really appreciate the support. We’re always open to suggestions… 😁
I heard about The Arizona Peace Trail ??? Completely different from what you have done before.
Great video! Been waiting for part 2 !! We are riding this area , in the summer . Love your videos - best sxs adventure channel on the internet
Bring your rain gear! Super beautiful when it’s ☀️
What some wonderful adventures and time together you give your kids. They will never forget your effort.

You bet. Yeah the weather swings there are crazy!!
The Uintas are beautiful. Great trip with the family.
Thanks for the support! We made a lot of great memories on this trip and wish the Unitas were closer to Wisconsin 😆
I would say after a trip that wet the polaris expedition looks more appealing! Great video i really enjoy your journeys

Thanks Jim! We are looking at 10 inches of snow today here as well. It was a great fishing spot -especially for those grayling. Stay warm friend!
ALWAYS put rainX on your windshield,
Helps with wipers
And even if they stop working!
Yep!!! I have in the past, totally forgot during our trip prep!!
awesome welcome to the west and our unpredictable rainstorms.
😆 thanks! I’ve had some mountain thunderstorms sneak up on me while fishing in Colorado, but never saw this much rain!!
RainX works great on plastic windshield as well, I put several coats on my SxS windshield before going out.
Great tip. I have used it on our cars, I always forget to apply it to our UTV. I’ll have to add that to our checklists in my book when I do a second edition…
Amazing content ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🏆
Appreciate it!

Be nice to do this in the new expedition out of the rain lol 😅 i have done few trips in the pouring rain and makes for fun without windows
The rain can be fun…. In moderation 😆
Nice trip!
Thanks!
By the way, I bought your book and commend you. The best UTVing book out there.
Thanks Reed! Appreciate the support and the kind works! 🙏🏼
Great video! How did your Core tent held up during that heavy downpour?
Thanks! Held up really good. Minor seepage through the floor where we were standing and a couple drips - but this was “go build an Ark” kind of rain. Our tent was basically pitched in the middle of a stream 😂 I genuinely was impressed how well it did and I’ve been camping in tents all my life.
Thanks for replying. First of all thank god you and family are safe. I decided to purchase the same tent. Keep making good videos

Did you do any waterproofing spray on your tent in preparation before the trip?
Nope!
Just curious why no side curtains on the machine for rainy weather?

Not that the General isn't an awesome vehicle, but with the type of riding your doing, wouldn't the Xpedition ADV be more suited ?
yeah, it would have some advantages. But the Xpedition wasn’t out when we bought the General. We’ve heard some complaints about noise too on the Xpedition. Everything sealed up I guess it’s pretty noisy inside.
If you do like the weather in Utah . . . just wait a minute.
Real talk! 😜
37:00 Is that a moose?
That's a freaking moose. I didn't know they lived in Utah. Cool!
Kim’s favorite animal is the moose- so you will notice quite a few of our trips are in or near their habitat :)
Don't buy a polaris
LOL. Everyone thinks we’re so brand loyal. The machine does fine for what we need it to. Lots of good machines out there
