    This episode is saved by the ending (wight Viserion). Otherwise I fucking coudln't get over the fact that Gendry ran back to the wall, sent a raven to Dragonstone (said raven flew to Dragonstone), Dany got the letter and flew all the way to the Wall and saved the day, all in the span of 24 hours.

    Jeremy is totally right. John went too far away from the dragon and he was literally the reason they had to stay there so long. The writers needed something to give time for the walker to kill the dragon, so they made John act stupid.

      I think he is acting tough because that convo with Beric about protecting everyone and he must kill the night king probably got to him, and when the night king killed the dragon Jon snapped, besides he's a Targaryen they lose their temper. Tho not defending Jon he was really stupid.

    Sansa was brilliant. She made Brienne and Pod leave, which protected them. She knew she could trust Arya or hoped she could, to take down LF. Arya never wanted to be a Lady. That was the lynchpin to Sansa knowing this is BS littlefinger. Lf did not know Arya.

    • @Ineptatpiano
      @Ineptatpiano 6 лет назад +15

      LaDonna Louise I think it totally demonstrates the limit of Littlefinger’s knowledge. Yes he has spies and all that, but he could never truly know what went on with Arya or Bran. In the end Bran was the true epitome of what Littlefinger wanted to be. He valued knowledge over all, he thought knowledge was power, but Bran overshadows him in knowledge in every way possible. Unfortunately it was at the cost of most of his personality but hey, sacrifices must be made.

      I think one of the things people seem to ignore about Jon charging forward is the fact that he's been losing every battle he's fought against the White Walkers. Then suddenly the dragons show up and for the first time he's moving towards the Night King. He feels like he can actually win the fight and save everyone.

    • @TheKillaShow

  • @Jack-dd1im
    @Jack-dd1im 6 лет назад +15

    I completely agree with Jeremy, at the end, Jon was a complete Idiot once again and ruined another life. He got most of his army killed in the battle of the bastards, so Sansa had to save him and now he got Viserion killed by not getting on Drogon, there was no need to go on a killing spree to that level, even when Viserion was killed, Jon went to kill more Wights instead of immediately running to a dragon to get to safety because of his own desires and instincts, although he may have good intentions, his actions were so stupid.

  • @ninethreefivesix

    • @daynejoseph2366
      @daynejoseph2366 6 лет назад +7

      ninethreefivesix yeah, but don't forget about the conversation he had with Beric that wasn't included in the reaction. Jon had stuck in his mind that if he slew the Night King he could have ended it all right there. He essentially threw caution to the wind just like Jaimie two episodes earlier. All Jon was thinking about was ending the war for the living. Just like Jaimie was only thinking of ending Dany's march to the iron throne when he recklessly charged at a woman standing beside a giant, fire breathing, crocodile, bat monster.

    • @sarat.1744
      @sarat.1744 6 лет назад

      That's Jon's problem. Maybe it's the Targaryen impulsiveness *shrugs* just like at the beginning of BoB, when Rickon gets killed. Jon was so mad that he jumped on that horse and decided to ..oh well, just basically fight Ramsay's army by himself it appears. I love him to pieces but damn, he can be very dumb when it hits close to his heart. That or he has suicidal tendencies.

      I just think Jon has a special connection with the Night King. Going back to the fight at Hardhome too where they had that look too. There was this guy Bran the Builder who was a Stark too and he could be the Night King. He also could have thrown his lance at Drogon and beat them all but he chose the other dragon. All he wanted was his ice dragon. He has a plan that does not include killing everybody.

      JEREMY GETS IT!! I KNOW Hogwarts believes that Jon can do no wrong .... but at this point in time, the wisest Starks are Bran, Sansa & Arya. Jon is a Targaryen idiot and i will never forgive him for Viserion's death. The Showrunners should have planned that scene better .... maybe they should have kept the Night's King in the shadows and surprised us with Viserion's death .... THEN Jon would have had a reason to get emotional and begin his fucking marathon .... THAT WAS SO STUPID OF JON!! Like WTF!!

    • @dragonmcmx
      @dragonmcmx 6 лет назад +8

      I wouldn't blame Jon the character as much as the choreography and directing of the scene. It's clear Jon wanted to buy time to make sure all his friends could get on the dragon, but what should have happened is that he got knocked/pushed the wrong way during the fight rather than purposefully charging away from the dragon.
      Viserion's death didn't really make much sense either. Why did the Night King target the flying dragon instead of Drogon, who was grounded, closer and carrying all the people? What should have happened here was they all fly away, and just as you think they made it, Viserion (who is the furthest behind the other two
      dragons) gets pummpled from below, and falls down as Dany watches, powerless to do anything.

      I'm right there with you Jeremy. This episode was so bad on a storytelling/cinematography level. There were various problems, including the stupid plan to begin with. They could have just taken Dany with them and all this wouldn't have happened. Not only that, Gendry getting to Eastwatch THAT fast, as well as Dany then being able to fly there that fast was ... well. And then of course Jon just standing around fighting Whites far off, even once everyone was on the Dragon. Stupid. Very out of character for Jon too.

    • @bvainkidd
      @bvainkidd 6 лет назад +11

      I agree with most of what you've said, but I don't think that this was out of character for Jon. Jon has a history of making dumb/emotional choices that result in people getting killed (i.e. when he didn't kill Ygritte and got the other Nightswatch men with Qhorin Halfhand captured/killed, and when he abandoned his own battle strategy in BoB, to name a few).

    I'm not gunna lie... that might have been the hardest death in the whole series for me. I never knew how much I cared about some CGI dragons until that moment... lol. The worst part is, it was totally unnecessary. If this expedition would have never happened, everyone south of the wall would be safe forever. The expedition led to the dragon's death which is the only reason the Night King could get through the wall.

    Season 4 Episode 9 (S4E9): "Watchers on the Wall":
    We saw the Wildlings use massive chains with mammoths attacking the Castle Black gate. Therefore, large chains, big enough for mammoths to pull, exist North of the wall. The army of the dead are North of the wall. Based on this, I must conclude that large chains are available to the White Walkers. I'm not sure why so many people who love the show forget this fact from S4E9?

    • @alienanxiety
      @alienanxiety 6 лет назад +4

      It would have been cinematically more effective if we just saw the icy lake, with the dead standing around it. The Night King approaches and plunges right into the depths. We hold on the shot for ten seconds of silence and stillness, and the episode ends with the dragon bursting from beneath the water with The Night King riding him into the sky.

    • @undrielgrenger53
      @undrielgrenger53 6 лет назад +1

      It only Seemed like bad writing because you know of the bad consequences of Jon doing that. But in the show, Jon didn't know that. He had No ideal the NK could kill a dragon like that and that they were all in immediate danger. Rather, he thought they were all somewhat safe with both Rhaegar and Viserion flying around burning up the dead and that there was no Immediate need for him to jump on Drogen's back.
      The other really didn't know that either...and if you remember, Jon only Started doing that anyway when he was cutting down the dead, trying to buy the others time to climb onto Drogen. And then he became a bit carried away and started drifting further and further away from Drogen to continue the fight!

    My thoughts on the Brienne thing are that Sansa sent her away to protect her, similar to Arya and Nymeria. In one of the previous scenes Littlefinger mentions using Brienne against Arya, and I feel like Sansa decided to do the opposite of whatever Littlefinger tries to manipulate her to do.

    • @candiceyoder3164

      kyu2o 33 Exactly!!!

    • @pjfsr7024
      @pjfsr7024 6 лет назад +1

      Kyu2o.
      Yup, Sansa and LF are playing chess, in 7-4 Arya mentions Brienne's vows to Cat, they quickly pan to Sansa, giving a not so kind side glance to LF, Sansa knows LF could use that.
      Remember they keep bringing up Vows, Brienne to Cat, Cat to Brienne, Brienne and Jamie twice, Brienne to Sansa, and Sansa to Brienne. Later LF drops it, letter from KL comes, gives Sansa a way to send her away without arousing suspicion from LF,; protecting her, her vows, and Sansa's vows, but it's also a risk to Sansa.

    • @undrielgrenger53
      @undrielgrenger53 6 лет назад +2

      No, Sansa sent Brienne away because LittleFinger had reminded her that Brienne was sworn to Both Stark girls, which meant that Brienne would have no part in any plan to kill Arya. So Sansa got rid of the threat to her plan (Brienne), just like LF suggested.
      Sansa was briefly considering killing Arya and people need to admit it.

    • @pjfsr7024
      @pjfsr7024 6 лет назад

      No Sansa wasn't, and don't quote what IHW said, because he was putting his spin on it and was wrong.
      At worst if charges were true on Arya, Sansa would banish her, not kill her.

    • @undrielgrenger53
      @undrielgrenger53 6 лет назад

      Are you kidding? Banish a faceless man (which Sansa believe Arya was)??! That's like banishing a man-eating lion! Sansa knew well that with Arya's training, there could be no such option as Banishment because if Arya wanted to kill her, she would come right back and finish the job.
      And plus, Sansa knew well that Brienne wouldn't allow her to just banish Arya like that since Brienne was sworn to Both Stark girls. Thus, Sansa had to get rid of Brienne from the picture while she attempted to kill Arya.

    @ijordan1238 6 лет назад +8

    1) Hogwarts said she loves Dany at the 8:24 mark!!! Add her to the list! Also, this episode is when I said I loved Dany as well.
    2) It's hard to tell, but if you rewatch the scene with Jon fighting the Wights and the Night King killing Viserion, it actually takes place at the same time, just shown from different angles, so Jon didn't actually make it possible for the Night King to kill Viserion. The other dragons couldn't shoot fire there because it would have killed the men as well. Jon wasn't acting stupid, he was just trying to buy time for everyone to get on Drogon. He went the other way because Drogon was killing in one direction, so Jon was trying to kill the wights that were coming from the other direction. He didn't want the Wights to kill the men or to kill Drogon from behind. He didn't know the Night King was capable of killing a dragon, no one did; he was just trying to buy everyone enough time to get on Drogon. Jon was just being what he's always been, a hero.
    3) For anyone calling this plan stupid, I agree. For anyone blaming Jon on this plan, I disagree; this was actually Tyrion's plan. I love Tyrion, but man, this season he had nothing but stupid plans. RIP VIserion and Benjen (A STARK has to die in every DAMN SEASON!!! UGH! except seasons 2 and 4)

    I think the scene between Arya and Sansa was actually rather important. For starters, Sansa now knows that Arya is a Faceless Man. That whole speech Arya gave about becoming Sansa was her own creepy was of letting Sansa know what she's capable of and gives her an idea of what went on in Arya's life between the last time they saw each other and being reunited. Also, Arya giving Sansa the knife at the end very explicitly let Sansa know that she was not an enemy. She let Sansa know she was perfectly capable of killing her right then and there, with no one knowing, but she didn't. I think that scene really, really let Sansa know that Arya was not the one she needed to most suspicious of, and also that Littlefinger was already trying to screw with them.

    • @paulwagner688
      @paulwagner688 6 лет назад +2

      Yeah, but in the behind the scenes, Bran says that there was a deleted scene where Sansa really DOES think Arya's planning against her but then she realizes that she's got her own personal CCTV in Bran, so she goes to him and all is revealed.

    • @pjfsr7024
      @pjfsr7024 6 лет назад

      Pual Wagnar,
      that's IHW take, but that isn't how that scene was.
      Sansa, just takes the dagger to Bran, no words spoken just a fade to black, they left it out because it may have spoiled the ending.
      Sansa already knows all about LF, except his betrayal and the way he planned to get Sansa isolated, his first gambit, was Brienne, Sansa removed that, his next play was his last lesson and Sansa played him because, before that but after the dagger scene the Starks, compared notes.
      Bran filled out what Sansa didn't know at KL, and he filled out to Arya what she didn't know about Sansa in KL.

I like to believe that Arya definitely knew what LF had been doing, maybe with some help from Bran, and she was playing him, and that scene was to see if Sansa was helping LF or not. If that is what happened it would help to explain their story in the next episode.

    What I'd like for season 8 - a mid-air dog fight between dragons with the Night King on his dragon throwing ice javelins, meanwhile they've mounted Qyburn's scorpion weapon on Drogon and Daenerys is flying around firing dragon glass tipped spears back at the Night King.

    There really was no reason this season could not have been 10 episodes and they could have used that time to slow down a bit and properly flesh out sansa/arya and the time warping parts that don't add up (and the writers admit they fudged that) . That was my only issue with this season it was rushed. There is some epic stuff in here and some great payoffs we've been waiting for all through the season but the season is all smash down into 7 episodes and you can feel it a lot. Sansa/Arya would have made far more sense had there been some more building scenes between them to build tension. I really hope that Season 8 they plan to pace it better. Maybe since all the story arcs are coming together the 6/7 episodes for season 8 will be better paced. I also feel like there was some heavy "plot armor" people like to call it this episodes for so many characters but I think thats because they are saving them for next season. I have a bad feeling we are all going to have heavy hearts by the end of next season.

    I think Arya was playing the Game of Faces, she was being threatening to see if Sansa would realize she was lying. But Sansa didn't catch on, she was too freaked out about the faces. But once Arya gave her the dagger she took away the threat, Sansa knew what she's always known Arya never wanted to be a lady in a castle. So if that was the case, she knew Littlefinger was playing her again, trying to frame Arya for wanting to usurp her, which she knows is ridiculous.

    • @pjfsr7024
      @pjfsr7024 6 лет назад

      It's not that Sansa didn't catch on, she out rightly refused to play. She's more concerned with what Arya did for those faces and Arya's belligerents towards her.
      Arya must have been convinced, she gave the dagger to Sansa hilt first and left. so Sansa won that, by not playing and showing her true feelings. Not really a game though, since only one played and still got what she needed.

    I have read so many comments saying that Jon was stupid. Perhaps - but it was totally in line with the character. Think back - he can be rational. But when you hurt someone he cares about he loses it. Every single time. Always. And plans fall apart. I don't like it, most people don't. They get annoyed. But it is within the limits of this character. Just like Dany burns everyone, or wants to when things don't as she wishes, Jon loses his temper when people he cares about get hurt. Both of their character traits have been consistent throughout the show. Just more examples of the fact that noone i perfect. And it has consequences. About the chains? The white walkers got then the same place they got their armor. From somewhere... :)

      Very likely. I didn't worry about chains etc. It serves to move the plot along. There are things I choose not to think about, and others that puzzle me. For now, I'll just wait and see what happens next season. The showrunners have taken us this far, I'm sure the end will be good. Yes, I have to defend them, because apparently very few do. Give them a break and let them tell the story is my take on it. (and yes, I am a book reader) Are there things that annoy me? Yes. Are there odd choices? Yes. One thing took me right out of the story this episode - Jon's line ' Thank you Dany' I mean Dany?? Really?? While alot of people are angry with what he does, only one thing really pissed me off. He bent the knee, thereby handing his balls to Dany just like every other man who has met her. So for me he is no longer a hero. He's just a guy. One of the big letdowns of the story this season to me.

      Well if you remember, Jon Never wanted to be king, and indeed, said as much in front of the northern lords. The only reason he took the job was to help protect the North from the dead. Which means that the second he came to believe that Dany would make a good Queen, and the second she made a commitment to use her armies and dragons to defend the North, he had no problem handing over to her his kingdom.
      It doesn't take a genius to see that, but its amazing that many fans like to whine about what Jon did.

    Honestly the main problem I have with this episode is the amount of almost deaths in it.
    First there's the Hound almost killed by the bear,
    Then there's Sansa almost killed by her sister
    Then there's Tormund almost killed by walkers,
    Then there's Jon almost killed by walkers and potential drowning,
    Then there's Drogon almost killed but Night King decided to shoot at a harder target further away,
    And that's not even counting the sad music that plays suggesting death when we all know the dragons are about to appear.

      No, he can't pass the wall for the same reasons the Walkers can't which is the magic inscribed into the wall itself. He could have lived on and fought another day and literally a day or two later the wall falls.

      Benjen lived on one purpose and I think to save Jon at that moment. He even can't cross the wall it makes sense. Two man on a horse will make the journey back to the wall much slower. Jon can freeze to death.

      Pointless death that didn't have to happen. Benjen could have helped warm Jon up or steer the horse to get there faster since he's acclimated to the weather. Days later with the wall down he could come through just as they did and continue to fight for Jon in the coming war. Not die for no reason at all.

    Hello crew. First, I am LOVING watching Jeremy react instead of him watching you react. It is great and to have Brian also being able to add opinions on what might happen and be a part of the speculations. Here is what I think about Jon and why he hung around longer, they were having trouble keeping the "specimen" who kept trying to get away and Dany wouldn't take off, so finally Jon got taken under and can you imagine Dany's freak at watching one of her babies go down like that? Oi. This was a great episode in a great season. For me, I love watching the game between Arya and Sansa. It is a dance. I wonder why they aren't tapping into Bran more, right? He could tell them so much about what is going on outside of Winterfell. Ah well. Okay friends. I have to find some WiFi to watch on Saturday and the next episode of GoT's and I am out until Wednesday next week. Have a wonderful holiday, the best Christmas ever to you all. Eh? It's clear all of this was a plan from the Night's King (this clearly explains the fact that they were prepared, that Jon and co just conveniently found a small group of Wights and that they had the chains from Hardhome to take Viserion). They still would have surrounded Jon and the others, they still would have been around when Dany came to rescue them. The only way Dany could have saved her dragons would have been not to go... Then they would have froze to death. That's why people think the Night King is a Greenseer. And Jon still falls for all the traps people lay for him, tbh...

    Awesome reaction, Hannah's face when the horror of realisation of what's happening as WW pulled out a spear and handed it over to the NK was priceless. I gotta be honest, I personally was more upset with the dragon being killed than even Ned or Rob Stark. Despite feeling for them and routing for their cause, their stupidity and bad decisions contributed a lot into their fall. With Viserion, like.. dragons are these noble creatures that are percieved as dolphins or elephants, in a sense that they are so intelligent and majestic that you just would have the nerve to do anything to hurt them. And seeing this kind of noble creature being murdered so brutally and then added as a weapon to the opposing side was absolutely horryfying. The other part that really got to me and I found important was this is where you realise why NK is truly formidable enemy and not to be fucked with. Like, he had so little screentime and in this screentime his menace level has gone up from level 10 to level 100 immediately.
    Regarding Jeremy;s point, I have always disagreed with that point overall and here's why.
    1. The whole resque mission from Dany was not planned, it happened because they got trapped, so being the last minute decision, you cannot expect it to go smoothly. Just as well as the fact that Dany practically did not yet believe Jon in full of how formidable that advissary is also controbuted to their loss.
    2. Jon was trying to buy them time to get eveybody to board a dragon. That part of the lake clearly hasnt been cut off as more and more undead kept pouring in and Jon is that kinda character who would put himself on the line to let others escape. It is perfectly consistent with his character arc and thus there was nothign stupid about it, he was fighting to buy the others time to get on the dragon, while other dragons were meant to cover their retreat.
    Now, I can agree that the actual writing behind it and playout could have been done a bit better to highlight those main points, cause of that error in filming part it kinda failed to deliver this point to every viewer, thus you end up with a split of those who were fine with it and those who were very pissed about it. Generally, none of these points exclude the fact that the episode (given its significance) could have been written much better and perhaps should have focuse more on the wall. Those scenes with arya and Sansa here were completely unnecessary and could have easily been cut off alltogether imho, while all that screentime could have been used to show more beyond the wall stuff or Dany and Tyrion, who were relevant to the plot here. I mean, we already had episdoes which would dedicate the whole duration of it to one event, so why not make that now? go figure.

    That dragon death would have been better if we got to know that dragon more. (They only really develop Drogon) The Night King should aim at Drogon. Jon has so much plot armor. (Never once did I believe that they killed him.) That battle had too many logic failures for Game of Throne. Winterfell storyline is bad. Arya mask should of been magic.

Thank the gods for the Hound. And then THAT happened with Viserion going down. What a gut wrenching scene that was. So upsetting. Poor Dany. At least now she believes Jon about the dead and the Night King. Can you imagine Jamie's face? He thought seeing Drogon was the worst thing and knowing she's got 2 more of them but imagine when he sees the dead? Oh hell no. He'll freaking pee his pants and go into a coma lol. I think Arya was traying to show Sansa she is not interested in being lady of winterfell that's why she stopped in the last second

    Jeremy was right , Jon was acting stupidly emotionally charged when he decided to just go Han Solo too far for no reason , the only reason he acted IRRATIONALLY cause they wanted that uncle Benjin plot to happen ,

      American Enigma _ which was a pretty useless plot anyway lmao. I feel like they could’ve used Benjen more instead of just the Benjen Ex machina in episode 6, maybe just let Benjen come in the fight before Daenarys shows up and have a litttttle talk with Jon before he dies

      American Enigma _ I think it was almost impossible to take off with everyone "on board", while the wights were attacking. Although someone "more expendable" should have done the fighting, it was in Jon's personality to volunteer for this.

    It had plot holes, the writing was weak but damn this episode was such a visual spectacle and the adrenaline rush! I enjoyed watching the episode despite all the criticism it received

    I remember when watching this episode for the first time, about the Winterfell story, I was thinking that both Sansa (with listening to LF and confiding in him while repeatedly telling her siblings he isn't to be trusted) and Arya (with obviously not trusting LF at all) were both playing a game, just not together so while playing this game they also are feeling eachother out.

    Hogwarts, you do love Tormand, that is the most emotional I have seen you, I was so sure he was going to die when watching this for the first time and was a wreck too.

    The only way the sceane, of the lake rescue, make sence to me is if the Night King planed the whole thing. To get the dragon. He can see present or future like Bran. Where do you get giant chains in this world? They had 3 spears to kill 3 dragons. Just my way to like it better.

      Raquel Venâncio
      Season 4 Episode 9 (S4E9): "Watchers on the Wall":
      We saw the Wildlings use massive chains with mammoths attacking the Castle Black gate. Therefore, large chains, big enough for mammoths to pull, exist North of the wall. The army of the dead are North of the wall. Based on this, I must conclude that large chains are available to the White Walkers. I'm not sure why so many people who love the show forget fact from S4E9?

      I just don't like that sceane for a few reasons. But thank you for reminding me about the chains. That makes sence. It's possible they got it at Hardhome. Ok.
      Still think the NK planned to get the dragon.

    • @MrSequiro

      Of course it was planned. I mean you don't have a massive army of undead circle 7-8ish people for 24 hours - 1 week (who knows) and just stand there and do nothing, unless you are PURPOSELY waiting for 3 Dragons to show up for the exact 3 dragon killing spear/lances you just happen to have, to get you the one thing you need to... well never mind for now. Yes it was 100% planned by the Night King. I mean that army would have just ignored 7 random warriors or just ran them over immediately, hell the night king could have taken them out with spears if that was his goal. It wasn't he wanted the dragons to come.

    Seeing the dragon die was so emotional. People get mad with Jon for not getting on the dragon quicker. I'm glad he didn't get on it, because when he first rides a dragon it should be magical. Kind of like when Dany rode Drogon for the fist time. I feel he will ride a dragon and it will be amazing.
    Great reaction and worth the wait.

    Truthfully the "no time" thing actually makes sense, if you consider any wilderness training. Jon is soaking wet, so getting him to a warm and dry area is vital. And a horse rides slower with 2 people. And in some cases the horse just dies.

    She's fully in the moment, 'He's gonna kill the dragon', (side-he's gonna kill one of them, Viserion probably). Later, ''thank you cold hands', before she even begins to think about who it could be. There's always one.

    It’s not an ice dragon. There are ice dragon in game of thrones lore but they look completely different. This is a wight dragon.

    Great reaction Hogwarts and Jeremy, well done Hogwarts team!
    Never mind about John re-engaging with the wights, my WTF moment was Uncle Benjin’s “there is no time” sacrifice. Let’s face it it takes an instant to mount a horse and not much longer for Gendry “Usain Bolt” Baratheon to run to the Wall so there was plenty of time. The show runners probably did that purely so that they did not have to address the “Weirwood / Heart tree issue”.

    Not sure if you all know this, but Benjen was in command of Winterfell when Rhaegar came to 'kidnap' Lyanna. Lyanna begged Benjen to let her go, and he did. Alot of people speculate this is why Benjen took the black and why when he is rezzed as a zombie dude all he wants to try and do is win back his family honour.

  • @Janoosen

    Why does Hannah think Jon can do no wrong? Even when he did something blatantly stupid and unnecessary she still defends it. Jeremy was spot on there. Why the f did Jon run so far away? There was no point in fighting them off that far. And when a dragon was killed he thought it would be a good idea to keep moving forward and kill more wights instead of getting on the damn dragon. It just made no sense.
    Loved the reaction though. It was great episode overall and the dynamics between all these different characters gathered together was fun and interesting to watch. I was so sad when Viserion died too. One more to go!

    I just realized something. They had Cersei say how she stares at the canopy thinking of how she'll kill her enemies. in S3-10 or 4 -1 Sansa said to Tyrion she stares at the canopy thinking how her Mother and Brother was killed.
    Just another time of reusing words for situations.
