    thats super neat next to the 046 where running its hard to believe that will even drag a turn up hill lol

    • @alexesgate8033
      @alexesgate8033  6 лет назад +1

      it is suprising but they are design to yard small stem or bucked wood and use a support and lift tree if you can keep most of the off off the ground it will pull a heck of a lot of wood

    would be cool to see that thing working

  • @Torsee
    @Torsee 6 лет назад +3

    You were searching for "gear ratio" with the skyline.
    Little pulley moves much faster.
    Big pulley moves slower for those who don't know.
    What an active operation that is! How many miles of footwork does a person do in a day?
    Keeps you in shape.

    • @sawsurgeon
      @sawsurgeon 6 лет назад

      Torsee, you are right with the term Ratio. However I believe the drums are being run at the same speed and on the same shaft. The smaller drum moves fewer linear feet of line per revolution. Therefore it mimics a lower gear selection without having to have complex equipment to change shaft speed.
      Alex, feel free to correct me if I'm seeing this wrong.
      Torsee, it is a neat little unit and as you said... Active Operation!
      Be Blessed!

      @alexesgate8033  6 лет назад

      no you are seeing it correct same drum and speed just fewer wraps make for more pull

    Those are cool little yarders, not real fast (line speed or for ease of operation) but for what they are they do it well. That kid with you probably ought to have more time before he goes to runn' that or he's gonna lose a finger.

    • @alexesgate8033
      @alexesgate8033  6 лет назад

      you know even if it had a 3 speed and reverse it would be great specially with it having 4 guylines but could always use just a touch more GET SOME
