Back home from Appleby horse fair and loved every second of it .. next year I'm meeting up with some Romany people and going to stay with them , A BIG hello to the stokes and the Mcginleys all the way from the USA 🇺🇸
Im going to this fair this weekend. Have always wanted to go and really looking forward to. Im going with the attitude that there'll be good people there and bad people too. Just like if Gypsies were to go to Glastonbury . . they'd think the same about us. What I have noticed in this video - at 5 mins, 35 seconds in, is all the rubbish all over the grass on the sides of the road. Takeaway cartons and all manner of plastic bags and things strewn about. Are there no bins ??? Or can they just not be bothered to take it to a bin ? On the Big Fat Gypsy Weddings prog (which I love !) they always go on about Appleby being theyre 'Sacred Place', so why are they throwing litter all over it ???
The whole thing is bad not just for the horse. The land is getting wrecked rubbish all over the place, foals with no halters one walking with there mare only need a foal to play up and someone could get hurt. This fair isn't right at all danger to people and horse is very high not a great mix at all

That bit with no shirt on doesn't even know how to ride. The reins swinging and he rocks. Not sturdy at all and he slapped the horse with his hand. These horses looked miserable. Idek how u could do this to these horses. They all looked awful and half of these people don't know how to ride or control them. They don't even have proper gear or tack on. The guys with no shirt or shoes. Like wth and wtf. That's so ridiculous
