One of the best songs of all time, super underated.. RIP to the 90's Yo I used to hang around with y'all, cover ground with y'all … Now I flip turn around and pull the pound on y'all
This is easily top 5 hip hop albums of all time!!! I can not name many albums where there was not one bad track. Every single song was %100. Every one. Right from the beginning it's just 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 the whole way through
I still play this track like it just came out. Literally ride around with this shit on blast in my car. I can’t get enough of it. Nore was cooking and this beat so raw! I can’t believe it never got the respect it deserves
For those who are unaware, This song is a Prodigy diss. Due to Prodigy pulling his original verse off of LA LA (The verse which ended up on Nas's Album "It Was Written" on song "Live Nigga Rap".) Prodigy later commented about this move saying that he felt like his verse was too good to be featured on a CNN song.. So he took it off and used it for Nas's album which obviously would get more attention. Nore obviously felt insulted by this and decided to diss prodigy on this track. Although he never clearly names Prodigy, there are many lines here that are obviously about Prodigy. Most obvious is when he says "The Sixteenth Letter,” which corresponds to the numerical value of the letter “P” in the alphabet. Worth to note that Prodigy and him had some serious issues IRL which also caused Nore (or his associates) to shoot at Prodigy (never connected) and Prodigy noted this in his autobiography "My Infamous Life" years later which pissed Nore off. They ended up being cool after a while mostly due to Nore's and Capone's friendship with Havoc. But Prodigy still never appeared on Nore's Drink Champs although he was asked multiple times (unlike Havoc who appeared solo.) Also Prodigy had issues with Nore's groupmate Capone due to labeling him a Snitch but that's another long story...
Wow. I didn't know that, but I definitely recall hearing Noreaga's verse on Super Thug when he said "you hate the law, nigga break it, I don't care but when you get caught remember that I don't care". It was obviously a response to Havoc's hook on Illegal life. That threw me off because I thought they were all cool. I had no idea all of this other shhhhh was going on behind the scenes besides the contract issues between Tragedy and Nore which was a separate issue. Nore and Prodigy definitely resolved things temporarily because Nore was on Prodigy's album. It was their song that really sparked the beef with Jay Z when Prodigy said "Live in the flesh, my niggas fresh out the bang, when I see you thun, new guns money aint a thing". Before that it was subliminal messages, but things started becoming more direct.
I'm not sure if thata exactly the reason why they had beef. In prodigy's book he mentions nore being real fake and claims nore got jumped by couple of QB dudes but I could be wrong.
I recently bought me some BEN DAVIS baggy jeans, 1 size bigger to have it real baggy, Air Forces 1s and some white Tees... AND was blasting this track out of my car. Time to end this sissy gay tight jeans skirt mumble rap POP era.

One of the best albums to ever drop from NYC. Shame it doesn't get the credit or play it deserves. This joint was ahead of its time production wise.
I believe it gets overlooked cuz Capone was locked and Nore had to carry the duo till he got out. Then came the Reunion. That shyt was certified tuff
