But the "joke" about Shohei Ohtani is a bit insulting, as if he's a typical male athlete making so much money he didn't notice millions being stolen by his translator and then-friend. It's more complicated than that, and we need to point out that Shohei actually doesn't care much about money, which is why he was willing to defer 90% of his salary for 10 years to let his team spend on bringing in other talent to benefit the team.
