I am subscribed to both Hello Fresh and Marley Spoon. Marley Sppon recipes have been blowing Hello Fresh away, with largerr portions and higher quality ingredients, and less fattening ingredients like mayo, sour cream and cream cheese. The ethnic dishes taste very authentic and delicious. I'm subscribed to four other meal kit services, and Marley Spoon has dominated all of them.
I just found your website and really liked it. I have used Hello Fresh/Every Plate on and off for quite some time. Recently tried Green Chef and Dinnerly too. Dinnerly has great customer service, but I’ve had an issue with both boxes - overcharged, bad chicken, broken delivery link and package being brought to my neighbors. I have my first Marley Spoon box coming soon, and I’m very excited. Their menu was impressive! They are a bit pricey for my budget, but I’m treating myself to a box. I found a good discount code and will get 5 meals for $48 so that’s pretty good!
I love it ... Very good recipes and it was clear what I would need. I cook a lot anyway and usually have basics on hand. I am a HUGE Martha Stewart fan since she first came to the scene... Talented and very smart Lady....
I had to start requesting physical recipe cards and then checking all of the ingredients to the recipes because they were frequently missing something or multiple somethings. I wish there were just a packing list. Also, people should be aware of what items Marley Spoon does NOT send you and you're expected to have on hand. They stopped sending garlic, you have to provide that. Sometimes they send milk, sometimes they don't. They never send butter or standard cooking oils.
I received my Marley Spoon Martha Stewart box the other day and it looked like they had slam-dunked all the products in, fresh food like bell peppers and garlic smashed by the canned tomatoes which was also dented. The bag of baby spinach was OPEN and greens spilling out. The meat offerings are those things we buy every day anyway and the ordering process? Granted I did it at night, but once looked at in the light of day I regretted it. I tried to change my order and wasn't able because in order to not be automatically charged again, I unsubscribed. Which may explain why I was unable to change my order to NOT HAMBURGER and chicken to something more interesting. Plus, someone on a low carb diet, there is a lot of potato in the box. Don't get me started on the box waste, it was at least sturdy, but environmentally this is a hot mess. Not to mention the recipes on heavy card stock when they could be accessed online. It's a no from me, but can I review this anywhere legit? No. The MS media machine won't allow that.
Ive tried hello fresh and every plate. But for the past 6 weeks. Ive done marley spoon. The quality lacks. 4 of 6 boxes were defective. 2 boxes had rotted food. And 2 boxes were damaged and the freezer pack was busted and leaked all over. The stuff inside is impossible to clean off. The ground chicken and turkey. Was ground so much it was a paste or tartare
!!Do not order from Marley Spoon!! If your package gets damaged in shipping and it won't arrive to you, their shipping partner does not alert you and MS has no plan to reship. You will be left without groceries and no replacement other than a refund which isn't the same as food for meals. That is a ridiculous policy that a company would not have a way to reship a box to a customer.
DO NOT TRUST MARLEY SPOON with your credit card information. They charged me 3 times to what I agreed and processed my credit card fraudulently. NOW it is a hassle to get my money back. I DID RECORD THE phone call.
Oh man i love figs i would have been soo disappointed but that could have happened going to the grocery store 😕 I love you Martha so I'll forgive you.. I don't think I should try this one ..crap it might sour my imaginary relationship with Martha 😮😆

I have to say that Marley Spoon is leagues above hello fresh. I haven't been disappointed by one meal so far.
