First of all thank you for the comments in my last video, I literally spent whole day reading all of them... Speaking about comments, I always read them, I heard you guys, you asked for Negros frequently so I give you Negros :)
Hey Finn! Those guys who helped load and unload Ana to and from the boat - in the spirit of goodwill (help or service that is rendered for free) is called "bayanihan". There is no literal translation but it essentially means "cooperative undertaking" or "unity to achieve a common goal". I quit my corporate job about 5 months ago and I would welcome the opportunity to live simply (even without electricity) by the beach! 🏖️☺️

Balete tree came from India, and its sacred to the Hindu, in the Philippines people are scared to go near it , because of supertion about unseen dietis or maligno with super power,
But Finn didn't just sit on one of the branches, he went inside. Ahahaha! If it were according to the locals, some evil spirits were the reasons why he got sick last week. :)
Eddie Jackson And I will add some info about the tree according to my friend who is a practitioner of the indian belief. The dakit (cebuano term of banyan tree) is the gateway to the other worlds that's why some indians can be seen meditating up in the big branches of the tree. Filipinos being Christian have a negative feeling about the tree.
I love how they planted the mangroves to protect the beach from erosion or strong wind/current. I wonder how old that “balete” tree 🤔, 200 years old 😳😲. Hey man please don’t catch the coconut fruit next time, you might get injured. 😊👍
Took me 10 minutes to realise Ana is your bike 😂 and the quality of video is super SHARP!!! And your drone flying skills are Wicked! That's enough compliments for one video. 😊
FinFin de sarafin.... Always Awesome!!!! I’m glad you found your peace in The Philippines... Filipinos will surely welcome and love you unconditionally.
When I was 9 yrs old I used to pass by Balete tree going to schooI. One time I passed by during lunch break I saw a dwarf smiling at me then suddenly dissappear. I was scared of Balete tree after that... I didnt notice this is 17 mins video and enjoying it up to the end. You are chatty and entertaining FinnSnow! Not a dull moment! 😊💖👍
It's nice to know that you visited Sipaway, Negros Occidental. I'm originally from one of the towns in Negros Occ., but I left Negros for Antipolo City more than two. decades ago after I got married. When I go for a visit Negros, I stay with my brother in Bacolod City. Sadly, I have never experienced Masskara until now. Enjoy your stay in my home province of Negros. God bless you always.
Wow beautiful city negros San Carlos very clean . Nice people well decepline . Follow laws . They should copy to Manila . Thank you very much Finn to highlight my beautiful country .
You make me feel very excited to go home this december to the Philippines.. I am from Louisiana, USA. It would be great to hang out with you going to the north.
Wow wow wow awesome capture of this unknown island also remote which I've never heard of before.I had travelled from Toledo to San Carlos all the way to Bacolod. Sipaway is such a beauty.Truly there is beauty in every turn here in the Phil. Good job Mr Finn Snow I want to see more.
Hello Finn, been watching your videos lately and just became a subscriber. Thanks for giving the world a glimpse of the country we migrated from 50 years ago. We will be visiting Ayungon in Negros (wife’s province) this March and interested in visiting San Carlos and Sipaway Island. What do you suggest accommodations on the island.
Living in a simple life would mean you will see n experience the non-western ways. Bringing Ana to the bangka with lots of gentlemen is called BAYANIHAN. It is one of the filipino culture, which a community spirit in solving a situation that is impossible to possible through the power of unity n cooperation without machinery. As for the balete tree(s) it's age is 1,328 yrs old. The oldest tree in the Philippines n also a filipino culture which is to believe that it is the place of a KAPRE (half human n animal evil spirit) to sleep n to sit. And lastly the little angels in the Care Centre, the little angels run n gave you their hugged n a welcoming Happy birthday song from the children. I felt their heartful loving joy in seeing you again sir Pinpin. Infact, watching this part i was touched by it n smiling n at the same time with teardrops of joy for the girls. What a teacher could hope for...the girls dream...to be????
A superb video!! Now I have seen ALL OF your PHILIPPINES videos! (Took me a while). Soon I will come and see the Philippines by myself, arriving 2018-12-24 at Cebu. Staying for about 30 days. I found so many good places I want to visit, thanks to you :)
Good morning pinpin! You im negros occidental right?. It only 5 hours away from the Seafood Capital Of The Philippines. Roxas City Capiz! When are you going to come here pinpin?. 😊😊 can't wait to see you here.
Wow, before, I and my friends have a trip in that place sipaway islands, its so nice place kuya ffinn, thanks for visiting negros occidental, , , love you r vlogs and may God bless you😇😇😇😇
Be careful of what you eat Finn. So you won't get sick again. What a beautiful place. Enjoy every moment. Have fun. Sarap ng buko so fresh. Take care😍😍
Hey Finn, we live here in San Carlos City and my Bro-in-law works for the electric coop. He was also the chief operator of the generator there on Sipaway before fulltime power was installed. The locals are accustomed to no electricity because the submarine line was only installed in the last 2 years. It's my understanding that the severed submarine power line is being repaired, but as things can go in the Philippines may take some time to be completed. Enjoy Negros! We have a beautiful island. If you come back through San Carlos message me, we'll be happy to meet you!
The euphoria I'm feeling while watching this video of Pinpin😍 How I miss Negros Island as much as I miss my husband❤. I'm a Cebuana while he's a seafarer from Negros. When he's on vacation we'd travel the whole Negros Island--from Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental to Escalante City in Negros Occidental. Seeing this video made me nostalgic. Makes me want to pick my superman from the ship so we could escape again to Negros!
Im a very fan of you anak, Never miss all ur vlogs.feel so sad when i see u lying in hosp.bed with hanging dextrose besides you.. how are you?hoping your're OK now.. Still im worried about you. Is Sherlyn around? Belated Happy Bday anak...
magnificent the balete trees 😍😍😍😍💚❤🌳 whatever reason there is not to cut them down is fine with me! 😊 They are bringing shade and tourism business - a good thing for the island without electricity... no fruit from the Ficus but fruitful in other ways 😊I hope the residents on Sipaway (? 😏) invest on some alternative energy sources like windmill or tidal if not solar. Nice to see many coconut trees and the fantastic mangroves around the island. I hope flora and fauna biodiversity is not too affected by development and natural calamities there. The boy's giggle as he gets a coco fruit for you is contagious! 😄 Fun to see the kids playing and splashing about for the drone. Even the clouds are beautiful. They make everything stand out and the clouds make sunrise and sunsets awesome. keep calm and have some coffee, sugary donut and coconut juice, all with a view 😍
