Doug is someone who has mastered the "vintage modern" concept when it comes to playing. He's one of the guys who got me back into guitar playing after a 2 year break!

I can see how Doug has rubbed off on you. He is one of my favorite players I discovered these last 2 years. It isn't just his killer technique, or the fact he plays with a lot of feeling, but he always makes something musically interesting. And when he does an amp demo, he takes it through all phases of the amp, clean and dirty. If Doug ever decides to put out a solo album, you can be sure I want a copy.
@@rbagel55 In general, im not really impressed with all these people that do 500,000,000 sweep picks and cram as many notes as possible as quickly as they can, people have been doing that since the 80s and it's overdone. i value people who can actually sound musical(there are people who can cram a bunch of notes and sound musical/make their instruments sing, such as steve vai and people such as him are exceptions) and make their instruments "sing" such as doug.
@@dannyllerenatv8635 me neither. One of my favorite players is Frank Marino. He was huge in the late 70's. He got out of the music business after his record label asked him to adopt a more commercial sound around the mid 80s. He disappeared from public eye, doing occasional gigs

That tone is thicker than a snickers! I love it I also like how I'm jamming to some blues rock and then suddenly find my self in the desert!

What a great pairing with the Les Paul! Spectacular tone! Lovely sweet, clear singing, uncompressed clarity, but no "ice pick" attack. No fuzziness or bloated low miss.
My Gawd this is so tasty! So bluesy, no repetition at all and just brilliant. What a wall of sound and tone to die for. I love most guitarists for one aspect of their playing. Doug just has them all.
I'm a difficult guy when comes the time to listen to a new amp (on the market or new to my hear). This one is AN EVENT ! That tone is the 4th dimension lol... So good ! Thank you for that fabulous demo and your wonderful playing !

Good GOD that Les Paul blows me away. What a sound. It stands out every time you play it, which tells me that not only is it an awesome guitar, it must just really suit you. Even a hacker like me could play something with an instrument like that, but it really comes alive when you play it. Great stuff.

Doug sounds amazing no matter what, but something about this Red Seven amplifier gives Doug's playing a decidedly RUSH vibe and I am not quite sure why. Maybe just this particular composition? In my experience, different guitars and different amplifiers take my own playing into the direction of specific influential artists - I'm just hearing a slightly bluesier version of Alex Lifeson & RUSH all up in this magnificent jam (and that is a huge compliment). Kudos Mr. Rappoport.

The tones that you produce from the RED SEVEN Duality 100 are incredible! The sustain is awesome, at lower gain and at higher gain settings, the note clarity is still very present. This is very inspiring!
