Just got myself feather parada nail clippers for 40 bucks (because I love feather blades and their artist stright razors). As I see in theory I can re-sharpen them again after a sustainable amount of use and have a sharp pair of clippers for life. Great!
@@vincentcarlino1398 not sure. I just use a fine piece of sandpaper and a pencil to wrap it around. do basically the same thing as he does with the rods
They look at you funny because it's a throwaway society! I get that look when I work on my car, and I always hear: why don't you take it to a professional? Lol 😆. Because a professional does the easy way and I end up with problems down the the track!
Just for funsies I ran mine across my 1x30 belt sander and the clippers I've been using for cutting wire now cut nails again.... Only they don't even click now. The nail just comes off clean and silently lol. Better than factory!
It's not about the equal amount of times you do it on each blade it's about the angle and keeping it there! Pocket knives are notorious for having two different angles
I have nail clippers that I really like. I haven't been able to find a replacement for years. I was wondering whether I could sharpen them. Thank you for your video.
Heck ya. Go for it. I did get in the little sand paper mandrels on Amazon. Work great. Either way the ceramic rods or sand paper holders you can extend some life.
Get the Lansky rods, turnbox.... amzn.to/42Tfc6g
I hope you've continued this series, "sharpening things you shouldn't sharpen" is awesome!

I like the idea of not to waste things that can be repaired, thank you!
You can get to the back with a fine diamond file. If you don’t have a diamond file, you can split an emery board down the middle and use that.
i split an emery board one time on vacation to touch up a pair of clippers, turns out my wife didnt think that was the right play. haha

You could buy some good German made ones too and maintain them for life. Buy once cry once is the way to go. Thanks for the vid.
