Angel One Data Breach Leaks Personal Details of 8 Million Users

The financial services company Angel One has suffered a huge data breach that has reportedly exposed the personal information of around 8 million customers.
According to a report published in The Economic Times last week, a hacker gained unauthorized access to Angel One's systems and databases and leaked the names, addresses, and other identification details of millions of users publicly online.
The hacker is said to have accessed and leaked sensitive account information as well, including customers' profit and loss statements from as recently as 2023.
A cybersecurity firm, investigated this data breach and confirmed it involved real customer records from Angel One. They also stated the data appeared to be from 2023.
