Many nights while Ron worked with Dave Pike at Hungry Joes (Hunt Bch) I got to know him well ( I felt ) so it's been a joy to see how his musicianship has led him , over the years , to such heights and opportunities in the music world . Long live this Louisiana cat .
Further in, just got onto Chet Baker My Favorite Song LP, 2 weeks before his passing, heavy sadness, with crystal clear lines, I give it my, So Damn Good, rating, Yesterday hospital catheters fear, get home, beer snack the V lesson, this am the V lesson, bust out the 7 and bam off to the races, secrets revealed, Thank You Ron, you're the top, B
hello Ron.. i am wondering what nut width you prefer and why?? could you do a video with experiences on your personal growth and reasoning for settling with one.. your hand moves so differently than most guitar players and the neck width has to affect this.. and its just interesting, thanks real Ron!!
Great stuff, dynamic, musical and full of excellent craft. Must say, though, that the balance on "Touch of Your Lips", with the bass playing the melody, is 'way off. I can just see the scenario: the mix engineer says "Ron, just leave your guitar up all the way, you need to let me control the balance". Grr.
Everybody looks sharp. I love it.
And the host, John Schneider, is a remarkable guitarist himself.
Two of my favorites from the old Steamers Jazz Club in Fullerton. Love both Ron and Luther.
Hoping that Terrance Love is experiencing a greater steam these days (and Nights) .
my kind of player.
What a great clip of an amazing duo. They both are just phenomenal and here in their prime. Two of the cats you could meet as well.
So good!
A dynamic duo, to of my fathers & mines favorite people.
The consummate maestro - Thanks so much for this video!
Truly one of the greats.
Ron is a master !!! and a great human being as well, I remember an unforgettable gig he did with Joe Diorio at Donte`s in 1983.....
that would be the one to be at..

Ron met Barney Kessel upon arriving in Calif. and , apparently , picked up , not only on Barney's chops , but also his formidable presence .
Awesome!
Ron, today was spent working on Bb blues chording, which you are using quite handily all over the place on Hamp's Blues, this is a treat,

Muy bueno Ron ! estoy mirando todos tus videos.

So cool, how often does the Bassman get to play the head, what a great show
something in Ron's sound and chord melody brings to mind Joe Pass, i am no expert in jazz, its just what I receive from a first impression
that Benne is gigantic, S~400 monster, ;))
