Turriff Bothy Ballad Contestants-The Yellow On The Broom

On Sunday 28th April 2024 the Annual Bothy Ballad Contest organised by Turriff & District Pipe Band took place in the Pipe Band Hall in Turriff. At the end if the contest all the competitors came together on stage to sing the folk song ‘The Yellow On The Bloom’ as a tribute to one of the great Bothy Balladeers Joe Aitken from Kirriemuir who sadly died on 3rd April.
