The best thing I have done in my life is that I documented my Finnish grandmothers recipes in a notebook before she developed alzheimers. I wish I could have done the same with my Greek grandparents. Great series Owen! ❤
Seriously though, the only meatloaf I ever liked was my great grandma’s, and while we have some of her recipes written down (in cursive yikes!) I don’t think we have her meatloaf.

Ok, Owen - I am a terrible cook! I have been trying recipes out from youTube, and I have learned a lot! I tried your recipe and I have to say... YUM! This tasted very close to Pasta Fagioli I had at a random Restaurant in Pisa, Italy, that was so incredibly delish! OMG. But for some reason, I think this recipe tasted better without adding the spaghetti. Next time I make it, which will be soon, I am going to leave out the pasta. It was still delicious with the pasta but I tasted it at each step, before adding the next ingredient and then the taste changed after the pasta. Still good, but not quite as flavorful. Anyway, Good job, your Nonna is a wonderful cook. Thank you for teaching me.
