- Deborah Harry singing a gorgeous cover of Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses" on her 1993 "Debravation Tour". This is a soundboard recording that popped out along with Teddy Pandergrass 1980 hit "Love TKO".
My daughter passed away on August 21,2020 from covid-19. This song is for her.
Sorry for your loss. A lovely tribute.
Sorry
2020 has truly been a shocking year for so many, including yourself. Hope listening to this song brings you comfort. Take care x
I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. This is a beautiful song sung beautifully. Rainbows of love between you & your daughter.
No parent should ever outlive their child. I’m sorry for your lose.
Best ever version of this song. Her voice and interpretation are perfect for the song. She's wonderful! I wish she'd do a studio version. I have a friend who can get the request to her. Always worth a try!
Take a listen to the ORIGINAL...... By the Flying Burriti Brother's.....
This sounds great, unfortunately I don't think her voice would be up to it nowadays. Often wish people had recorded studio versions of their live stuff though.
I'm sure I read somewhere that she recorded it for the Debravation album and was prevented from releasing it because The Stones planned to re-record it, which they did for their 1995 album, Stripped.
She had the discipline and self-awareness of a fine classical singer. If anything seems wild and spontaneous it was because she had put countless hours into honing her delivery, pitch, phrasing, breath control and gestures. It was all very calculated and as a result splendid. I saw/heard the clip of Deborah singing the "Rainbow Connection" on the Muppets Show and her delivery is gorgeous and flawless. She plucked the high notes out of the air with absolute, pitch-perfect assurance. I always felt that not enough has been said about her control and professionalism,,, it was always the glam and the dangerous lifestyle and seedy hagouts that made the press. Naurally!
She never fails to take you on a trip , a melodic seduction out of time, simply beautiful. ❤️💎👑
Beautiful song for Deborah’s voice! Gorgeous interpretation! I like to see her perform the song!
How pretty . Oh Debbie such a heartfelt interpretation , so deep, so you !
Debbies version has to be the most overwhelming version..sang with incredible passion & meaning..Love this.
Type in "Shirley Manson garbage wild horses".....you're welcome a Debbie rules as well
PERFECT!!❤️💋
I saw her do this 5 times in the U.K. utterly brilliant pity the footage isn’t out there
Debbie can cover anything, always gold. No one can cover her.
So true. She is a genius.
Bit late to the party but her version of David Bowie's Heroes is better than the original. My mum had it on old vinyl record
100% AGREE!
I LOVE DEBBIE'S VERSION ❤️
@@tiantheeI don't think it's as good as the originally personally but I do enjoy her version a lot!
This is magnificent! 😔
A great Stones song done beautifully and soulful. It's also nice to recognize the character in Debbies voice.
Always Loved and still Love the band Blondie!
Another great great song by Debra Harry Blondie. Try this one on "Keep me hanging on the telephone"
Not only is the song great, the young lady singing it is gorgeous, my kinda girl
David Moyer
Love her voice!
She’s so great.
Beautiful song, beautifully sung by Debbie.
Ms. Harry's rendition of this haunting and beautiful song is splendid. I was a little kid when I first heard the Stones' original recording and even at the tender age of ten I was moved by its intense emotionality, even though I couldn't actually personally relate to it yet---THAT would come, of course, later....
She is just divine since ever
Band called "The Sundays" does a great cover of Wild Horses!
I was totally mesmerised by this song when I saw her at Southends cliffs pavilion back in 93 😍😍😍
I was at this gig also. Loved it
Nice. Allways loved her.

The Grandmaster Mistress of Rock! Y'all!
She is amazing, a real diva... i love her!
Alternativa Geek - “Diva” is an uncomplimentary term.
This is amazing...
Brilliant heard this played in London
Not only Debbie is great here. Listen to the music part of the song, magnificent.
A duet with Mick and Keith? That must be great also.
Magnificent. Simply overwhelmed by this.
1993 and 2 amazing tours: Debravation and Devotional :)
her voice ....just goes right to my heart...thanks for sharing
Just so pure and wonderful.
Stirs the spirit.
Her voice is magic.... always loved Blondie....seen them as a teenager with ( and I said when I saw.... Special Guest.... Duran Duran (1982).... I'm like whose Duran Duran? (mispronouncing) But saw them again in late 90s in Detroit and they were perfect.
.. I don't remember them covering the Stones but that was almost a quarter century ago... Anyway
...a great cover by Blondie!
Debbie. Forever. ❤️
Magnificent. I'm simply overwhelmed by the emotions this aroused in me. Probably the most beautiful DH song I've heard.

Wow!
Fantastic
Controversial I know but I much prefer debbies version to any other , she owns this
classicwow
A very good cover of a great song
written by the best band on this planet
Nobody beats Mick and Keith,
but this fantastic too
There are also excellent versions by
Garbage and Guns n Roses by the way
I wonder if this version was inspired more by the Sundays cover that was released the year before. Both have the same dreamy quality and both are fantastic. Garbage also did a great live version.
Love the Sunday's version best , but Deb's is cool too... :)
Yeah Debbie!
Love this, for mine though Gram Parsons still does the Original and the Best.
I love Gram... what a voice-his version is so beautiful
The Glimmer Twins wrote Wild Horses, so it’s a Rolling Stones original. The Stones recorded it in Muscle Shoals two days before their December 6, 1969 Altamont concert/tragedy. Keith gave Gram a demo tape of it in early 1970. The Flying Burrito Brothers recorded it and included it on their April, 1970 album Burrito Delixe. The Stones version came out a year later on Sticky Fingers.
@@georgedilligaf8570 , My apology and my mistake, I should never use the word best, as I did when discussing things artistic, I like Gram Parsons version better and after Exile On Main Street, Sticky Fingers is pretty close to my Favourite Stones Album.
John Shuttleworth No need to apologize. Since Parsons released his version first, many think he wrote it. His version is stellar, by the way. Keith wrote it with Gram in mind, so it’s like it was taylor made for him. Before They Make Me Run from Some Girls is Keith’s tribute to Gram
wow
Amazing version my dear ;)
Thanks for sharing this with me . I know you are a big D.H fan. One way or Another is still my personal Fave
Slim Freedom is a must hear version of Wild Horses (Landslide too).

Better than RS version
No matter what color hair
Hope Sandoval.
Look for the Garbage cover.
Not bad at all
I love her and grew up on the stones. Not a fan of this version. Personally I couldn't feel the emotion in her voice... her version of David Bowie's Heroes is better than the original though.
I don't get the fuss here.
It's bloody ordinary, verging on off key sometimes.
The accompanying musicianship lacks somewhat... A line guitar would have done it better.
I like Harry but this is so overrated.
You don't get it. She's doing it from in a different point of view compared to the stones .
btw.. whats a "line guitar" ?
Debbie is such a great singer. Sorry, but the way that this is mixed is not good. Her singing is fine, but the sound of the guitar and the mixing are not good. The mixing of the drums is also bad. If you just gave a reasonably competent guitarist a simple Martin or Taylor guitar, left out cheesy reverb effects, and let Debbie sing this in a single take without all the production, it would sound amazing. The vocal track here is good, but the production is so bad that it masks Debbie's amazing voice.
This version is terrible with that reverb. It's tough to make out the lyrics.👎
i was at this show...the drummer got jeered..because he wasnt clem!
Twas a cool concert but very un blondie.
Only Mick's voice is worthy to sing this song
Hard to beat Mick & Harry didn't nail this one 👎
Subo sung it better.
Meh. Overrated/underwhelming as usual. If this was anything decent it would have sliiiightly more plays and more than a laughabe 63 comments in 10 years. GONG!
It's pitchy, not a good cover
You're stupid, not a good comment
This is the deep sweet sultry sexy voice of Debbie that I love.
Wow!
