Maybe it’s ‘unrealistic’ but in a time where all the leaders and politicians (that we have no choice but to appoint) do nothing but think of themselves and their greed, Kagaya is such a breath of fresh air. Just someone who genuinely loves and cares for the people around him. Who does not see himself as above others. Who is willing to sacrifice himself the same way the others do. He, just like Tanjiro, is someone we should try to emulate. Seeing him being so kind and being able to bring change through that kindness sort of gives you hope that maybe kindness isn’t a weakness the way life (at times) tries to convince you it is.
What an amazing man, and such a kind and beautiful soul. I love Kagaya Ubuyashiki. He's amazing.. and how sweet he visited every grave of the Demon Slayers, and even remembered all of their names! That's so great.
The VA did proper justice to the character. His calm and respectable demeanor were so beautifully captured.

Kagaya Ubuyashiki is such a selfless character as well, even when the hashiras recommend to Gyomei for master Kagaya to have hashiras watching over his place, Gyomei refused because he knew Kagaya will never agree to keeping the hashiras to himself rather than them helping innocent people from danger, not to mention he was willing to sacrifice himself as bait to lure muzan into a trap and even helped Tamayo get close enough to poison muzan with his plan, which made muzan weaker throughout the battle. Not to mention he raised amazing children as well, all five so smart and so brave, Hinaki and Nichika being the two eldest sisters even willing to die along side with their parents with no hit of fear in their face, and the two youngest sisters, Kuina and Kanata, despite the sadness in their eyes after losing half of their family still managed to stay focused no matter what in the final battle, along with the only son, Kiriya who led the demon slayers to victory to finish off what their father started, and most importantly Kagayas wife Amane being so loyal and brave to sit by him the whole time Muzan was approaching with no slight of fear or emotion, this whole family is so amazing in so many ways I can’t even think of the right words to explain

Ngl, i never understood how important he was in the series until now. Guy went out like a champ but he should have at least told his kids to leave from the area.
As far as I know, he wanted to meet Muzan (and die) alone but his wife and two eldest daughters willingly stayed with him. Their loyalty and determination are unmatched too.
