Nah, love it! The asymmetrical tarp set up is good🤠⛺️👍. Poncho's rock! The options for use are endless (groundsheet, basha, etc), hell, you could even use it as a poncho! 😋👍. Wearing a poncho on public transport will ensure you get a seat to yourself though...😄.
Yeah I've grown really fond of the poncho, I even wore it on Fairfield peak a few weeks ago in 50mph winds! It was a bit of a mistake to be honest, but it kept me dry, sort of 👍🤣
Love your videos. Just bought myself a bivvy and a hammock to give both a go once we're allowed back out there again... You've got me fancying Galloway too. Keep up the good work!
Another great one now you’ve become a new expensive mate as well just ordered the snow peak system because of your review looks like a great system Now l will share with you l carry a Gransfors Bruk small forest axe it’s weight is insignificant 2 lbs but can get the job done And a Silky saw Big boy 2000 again a very capable saw you won’t regret it cheers ATB
Don Abbott Cheers Don! You’ll love the Snowpeak. I recently bought the Gransfors Bruk hand hatchet, mainly for carving as it’s a bit too small for much else but the quality of the axe is excellent. I’m in the market for something a bit more useful, I’ll check the small forest axe out 👍.
Overland and Outdoors l have the hatchet too and it turned out to be not very useful for me my wife liked it The small forest axe however is a different story l keep it razor sharp ( just with stropping ) and use it for everything even cutting the brisket and skinning moose That in conjunction with the silky saw you can easily process 6”to 8” logs for the fire Silky cuts on the pull stroke and is almost as fast as a chainsaw I’ve been doing this for a long time and this is the best combo I’ve seen ATB
used to fish there when i was much fitter lovley wild brown trout and arctic char witch i always returned as its a place of S.S.I. great vid takes me back great memories
Thanks man. Loved the firegrill and had never heard of TJM Metal Works. Usually I cook on the stone but that's not always a possibility. Will subscribe and check your other stuff out. Take care, Monty.
Ben/Triss Came across your channel/travelogues by chance when searching for Hilux over landing info. I’ve watched all your adventures now(apart from those on the bike😂)...inspirational and motivational, so thank you! High quality videography / audio, great music, good humour. Great to find a couple keeping it real! Awaiting delivery of my first Hilux May 2020 and can’t wait
Overland and Outdoors I suspect it will be a gradual process regards the OR set up as my experience grows, a roof top tent is definitely an early prospect 🤞
Just discovered your channel today, took about 5 seconds to hit the subscribe button? Absolutely brilliant, well shot , edited and you sir are a natural in front of the camera. Keep up the good work and all the best of wishes for the future.
Good video. Like the fire grill. I'm not one for fires but I'm going to look in to the fire grill then maybe try a fire in a fire box lol. It might cheer up the wife on colder nights. Great camp. I have been planning on going to Loch Grannoch my self very soon so thanks for sharing. Really enjoyed watching. Steve.
Cheers Steve! If you didn't want to carry in a fire pit, theres a good section of beach at the end of the loch where you could dig a hole and have a safe campfire. It's definitely worth visiting, it's a really remote and quiet area 👍
@@Adventure-Outdoors I know what you mean - I have the large and small throw-down grills as well as the portable mini-grill. Each one is superbly crafted and wonderful to use. @@paulwildcamper Ahh Durham, great place. I was looking at your Insta the other day, plenty of good campfire cooking shots👍. I think I'll get one of the throw-down grills next I reckon.

Another great video, glad you got the Rab sleeping bag and reviewed it as I have been looking at it for a while now as my bag is a 4 season but huge so looking for something that packs a bit smaller but is still as warm.
Cheers mate! The bag is good, really pleased with it. It's about half the size of the DD bag I was using and about half the weight so it does make a difference - frees up space for beers 👍.
great video as always . the fire grill looks awesome, shame about the wood, although it would be a challenge to find dry wood anywhere in the country at the moment. i also use a poncho because i can get it in my cargo pocket when I'm working.

@@MrMikef350 No worries mate! If I'm wild camping in the Autumn/winter/spring I usually just chuck meat straight in the backpack without worrying much. If it's going to be hot I'll either take tinned food like corned beef or tinned curry/stew etc. Although last year in the middle of summer I froze meat and put it in a small cool bag with a couple of beers, by dinner time the meat had defrosted and the beers were still cold 👍.
