June 21st, midnight and beyond in your local time, you can encounter Giovanni with a Regirock in the final spot. The full playlist is being built out here - ruclips.net/p/PLiAXVUZKg6jXZ9hUgL0xY8Au2xd4wzlFv
Hi again, thanks so much! Your videos really helped me a lot to understand the stun time thingy, and many other useful tips! Some other channels just use some 4000cp legendary, while you use Great League Pokemon! Impressive and you show me that it can be done :) I even uploaded my own video of me defeating shadow regirock and I will definitely watch your video tutorials for future giovanni!
I really appreciate that, and yes I definitely have separated myself from guides out there that try to recommend a "one size fits all" approach to Team GO Rocket leader fights... by getting down to the 1000cp or 1500cp amounts, I can have the best chance of reaching the most amount of players who would need help against TGR, so I'm really glad that sort of thing is resonating with you and helping out! I'll be back every time they change their team lineups, so feel free to stop back in any time you're having trouble with them :) Thanks for viewing
The cool thing about going up against his Garchomp is that it's gonna take 256% damage from Ice, rather than 'regular' super-effectiveness being like 160% or whatever damage...because it's Ground and Dragon, both weak to Ice. So clearly Ice is key - depending on the moveset your Garchomp is throwing at you (Mud Shot or Dragon Tail), you'll want to try and also resist those accordingly. An awesome Pokemon to go up against Dragon Tail is Alolan Ninetales with Powder Snow & Weather Ball, it's because Alolan Ninetales is part Fairy (resists Dragon Tail) and that move combo is spammy. Abomasnow with Powder Snow & Weather Ball is the spammy king to take on Garchomp with Mud Shot because it's part Grass (resists Mud Shot). I'll be covering the Garchomp lineup as well soon here in video form, to give some options, but I've given you general strategy by type with two choices there :D
The timer only shows up (for *everyone*) at the last 20 seconds or so, if the trainer is within that time limit. Usually Water charge attacks especially will run that timer... I think about Galarian Stunfisk, a great Pokemon for Team GO Rocket, but within the 1500cp & below levels, it does little damage while generating energy quickly for a move like Muddy Water, which also does very little damage. And being that Muddy Water is a Water type attack, it certainly takes a long time to whither an opponent down in Giovanni's case where he's often got Pokemon 9k CP and higher
Shadow Rayquaza has not been confirmed officially, so let's please be careful with stuff like this. Niantic could just as easily delay something like that even further by repeating the Shadow Legendary Beasts/Dogs, going through Groudon/Kyogre first (which would actually be dope), or any other series of repeats and things
It's very likely not going to be until September, though Niantic is often ambiguous in their wording surrounding TGR. It's just that they said this current bout of Special Research can be redeemed until September. I think the past two years have seen a change either then or October (because October is when we got Shadow Mewtwo the first time around, and then I don't remember who he had the next year in October).
Charizard would not have any particular advantage against the Pokemon that were shown in this video (if his middle spot Pokemon was a Grass type, maybe so! depending on your Charizard's moveset). It would also quickly fall to a Regirock with Rock Throw so I'd generally advise against Char being used for Regi. Meloetta generally is just okay, though it could have Super Effectiveness against Nidoking in this video's case. Problem is that it wouldn't resist the Poison Jab and Melo's Fast Attacks leave something to be desired when it comes to energy generation, though Confusion at least does hulking damage per hit. And Melo wouldn't have any advantages or do *super* well against Regirock, could take *EXTRA* Damage vs a Persian with Feint Attack and Fighting Types are much better for that anyway. Blaziken is generally okay with the right moveset; a Blaziken with both Blaze Kick and another Charge Attack can often do well, if you've got the two. Maybe with Counter as its Fast Attack, but that's case-by-case...like Blaziken can sometimes handle a Persian with Feint Attack, but it would get shredded by a Persian with Scratch. I hope this is painting the picture that resisting the typing of Giovanni's Fast Attacks is imperative if you're struggling at all. If your trainer level is incredibly low or if your Pokemon have 4k CP, sometimes you can bypass actual strategy
I just got a notification it’s says defeat giovanni to save ragnarok so do I go to poke stop to find him right now? Or is there a certain time I have to go tonit
Basically from sun-up until I think 9pm in your local time, Giovanni will have Regirock as his Pokemon in the last spot, and subsequently as the catch encounter for you when you beat him. If you have a Super Rocket Radar (acquired through Special Research), then you can encounter Giovanni at PokeStops or in Balloons - the hot air balloon will show up like every three hours starting at 6am I believe
I suppose it comes down to the school of thought you subscribe to: are you a completionist/collector type of player? Then yeah maybe you want one of *everything* you can get, like the new Shadow 'rock. Or are you more of the type of player who just wants the absolute *best of the best* Pokemon and don't make room for much else? Shadow Regirock will be okay, but I'm pretty sure it gets out-classed by many others in the category. Thanks for viewing!
100% incorrect since you actually *see* it happen on screen, but if you'd actually like real help, all you have to do is tell me what Pokemon he's got, their movesets, your trainer level, the Pokemon you used, *their* movesets, and did you observe stun time advantages + other strategies I discuss across these videos? Because yes, those are all factors, as I try to note in every commentary I can without repeating way too much....and then sometimes I STILL repeat it, to try to stop comments that say "dont work" since the person probably used a counter shown in one video but against a different Pokemon or different moveset entirely (like Persian with Scratch vs Persian with Feint Attack....should be handled completely differently)
Any Special Research that leads to a Super Rocket Radar; it's tied to that radar specifically, it doesn't matter what the name is of that research, as long as it leads to the Super Radar
My Shadow Regirock is 8/8/8, normal Regirock is 12/13/13 with enough candies to double move ONE of them. Anyone smart able to tell me if the shadow one's still worth it??
It's just my opinion, though I think it would fit most of the majority, Regirock & Shadow Regirock can usually be outclassed by other Rock attackers. I'd personally spend my Stardust elsewhere. Thanks for viewing
1/2 the vid would be like 2:30 an he shows pokemon by 6 seconds and at 0:13 talk about persian with scratch vs persian with faint attack. casey just dumb kendo keep doin ur thing
@@4theloveogaming Thanks, but I mean, the dude is commenting on a video that has 12k views despite TGR being *super* easy to beat nowadays, which means this hit RUclips's search and recommendations pretty well - you don't get that with a video that provides little-to-no value. "wasted the first half of the video babbling" is just rude and incorrect, really; most of the time we keep things chill here, but I don't feel like being chill about someone being rude for a reason that is really just asinine. Thanks for your support though, let's move on now :)
Which two are the "powerful" ones you're referring to? I know some people may be new viewers, but I tried to say in my commentary and the text notes on screen, etc., when I do these videos I consistently beat Giovanni with Pokemon below 1500cp (sometimes below 1000cp). There will be other videos for this exact lineup, but the answer is "no, you can beat him without using the exact Pokemon I use every time." I've never used an account that I couldn't beat Giovanni with. The videos give you all the techniques and tools to win, such as taking advantage of stun time, type effectiveness, etc.
@@DrKendo I meant Cobalion and Empoleon. I was able to beat Giovanni with a couple of Stunfisks that got me through Persian and Rhyperion and then I took down Registeel with a strong Machamp. Your videos are what lead me to considering Stunfisk in the first place. I saw another video where the person took down Giovanni (with another lineup) with all Stunfisks. I never woud have known about Stunfisk if it werent for your videos. Thank you, you were most helpful :)
