As part of my research around regulatory bodies, if you found interesting the information I published about the FCA, I have also completed a new video highlighting the role and responsibilities of the main US regulatory bodies. Here is the link: ruclips.net/video/nkNWXZmGv8U/видео.html
I currently work in compliance how I’d like to move into financial compliance, what’s the best way to get FCA approved? I’d like to be certified to help in moving industries?
Hi Dollie, thanks for commenting on my video. To become FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) approved, there are a few steps you can take, I will list below some of those but I also suggest you to further investigate with other professionals that already are FCA approved in case I've missed some key steps. > Gain relevant qualifications: The FCA expects individuals who work in financial compliance to hold relevant qualifications such as the CISI Diploma in Investment Compliance or the ICA International Diploma in Governance, Risk, and Compliance. > Gain relevant experience: Relevant experience in financial compliance will be valuable to your application. You could start by gaining experience in areas such as regulatory compliance, risk management, and internal audit. >Apply for FCA approval: Once you have the necessary qualifications and experience, you can apply for FCA approval through the FCA Connect system. You will need to provide details of your qualifications, work experience, and personal details. >Be prepared for ongoing requirements: Once you are approved by the FCA, you will need to meet ongoing requirements to maintain your approval. This may include completing annual training, submitting annual compliance reports, and undergoing periodic reviews by the FCA. It's worth noting that the FCA's approval process can take several weeks or months, and meeting their requirements can be challenging. However, becoming FCA-approved can be a valuable credential for anyone looking to work in financial compliance, and can help you stand out when looking for jobs in this field. I hope the above is useful! Thanks for watching my videos 🙂
Hi and thank you for commenting on my video. As I don’t know your professional background or qualifications, the first step I would recommend you to take is to look at the FCA career portal. In there you will find valuable information for both individuals in the early stage of their careers and for more experienced professionals. Based on that, you can then search for open vacancies in line with your experience that are available at the FCA. Also, on their portal they share other interesting details to know what is like to work there. I leave you here the link that will direct you to the official FCA career portal. www.fca.org.uk/careers Let me know if this is useful. Marco

Hi, thanks for commenting on the video 👍🏻 Apologies but I'm not sure I fully understand your question... If you are seeking information on how to apply for FCA authorisation, all details are included on the FCA portal, this is a link to it: www.fca.org.uk/firms/authorisation/how-to-apply I hope this is useful. Thank you for watching my video!
Hi, I think you might be referring to another type of licence as I doubt there is a direct link between the Financial Conduct Authority and car dealers.
Hi, thanks for your clarification and apologies for the delayed reply. I only recently noticed your additional comment. To the best of my understanding, if a car dealership in the UK is offering certain types of credit or finance arrangements to customers, they typically need to be authorized or registered by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The FCA regulates credit providers in the UK, and this includes dealerships offering finance deals for car purchases. However, not all aspects of a car dealership's business fall under the jurisdiction of the FCA. It's primarily the elements that involve providing credit or finance, such as hire purchase agreements or other car finance models, that are regulated. In addition, the dealership must adhere to specific rules and guidelines to ensure fair customer treatment. Do note that my personal experience in the car sector from a regulatory compliance perspective is quite limited. The exact requirements can vary, and it's always recommended to consult with a legal or compliance professional for a full understanding of what applies to specific businesses. I hope this helps!
