I was born in 71' and this is my favorite movie ever.
Awesome guys, I'm going there for my 50th in 2022, can't wait!
thanks for filming, i live in the UK so things like this are invaluable
So happy to hear you enjoyed our video.
Thank you everyone for posting this video! I loved seeing it.
Our pleasure!
I just went here for a school field trip! I took some photos and it’s very cool to know they made a movie there.
Apes4Ever 🐵🔥✨
Thanks for the video, Richard.
Very nicely done!
Such a great tour, thanks Max! Always wanted to come out to Ca and see those locations and this was clearly the next best thing since I'm stuck out here on the east coast.
Thanks for posting this guys! Looks like so much fun!
Love it
Thanx guys
You are welcome!
Thanks guys. I actually felt like I was there with you!
I was there in 2017 - i just got off a plane from australia. My friend who picked me up said what would you like to do i said "Go to Malibu state Park" we did. This video is Awesome
Great job guys ..... love the editing ! Well done !!
I just watched an episode of Ark II - Episode 15 - Orkus and the set used looks like the Ape Arena set.
It was probably filmed around 1976 so check it out.
Wow cool video but ya left out POA locations of the cornfield hunt & where the Apes put Taylor in the wagon and took pictures. The steps were also where Charlton Heston ran up while trying to escape. Still you guys were fun to watch. Thanks.
We were planning a part two and the pandemic happened.
@@SkywalkingThroughNeverland not trying to complain but to include Battle to the Original POA is sorta outta place. POA was a Twilight Zone written by Rod Serling. A Classic. Battle? Who cares.
I appreciate any and all comments. But since we were standing on the hallow grounds of battle why not mention it.
@@SkywalkingThroughNeverland that's fine too. I'm just prejudice about the Original...the sequels so inferior. But I see your just being nice. Kool.
amazing how green it was before the fires
Looks like it was filmed next to the MASH set. Too bad we never got a crossover with Hawkeye operating on a damn dirty ape!
This is the same exact location.
@@SkywalkingThroughNeverland That's really cool.
I was wondering how the park looked after the fire Glad to see some of the trees by Ape City survived. Thanks for the video!
The flat area where the human cages were, including the steps and rock wall are the ruins of Crags Country Club (1910-1936).
Wow that was amazing to watch, I watched the entire video, believe it or not!! It was great when they showed the area now and compare it to the movies!!
This is your sister by the way
Might be a silly question but what happened to the water beside ape city, looked like a huge pond/lake that isn’t there anymore.
It is now a dry lake bed.
He can talk !
Spotted some Six Million Dollar man locations 👍🏻
How did they construct ape city
Spray Foam on wood structures
Thanks for the video. I was thrilled to get to the original Ape City, the rock pool, and the cages several years ago. Is the Ape City from Battle near the visitor's center or the campground?
That said, my great quest over two visits there has been to find the hunt location (a cornfield in the film). I know it's near the campground but keep missing it. Any info?
Of lesser interest is finding the fields where Brent and Nova rode pursued by the apes in Beneath, as well as the location of the rock and ravine by which they reach the underground city.
We visited ape city from Battle at the end of the video. We will do a part two where we visit the cornfield sometime soon. Thanks for watching
@@SkywalkingThroughNeverland yes, but what area holds the Battle Ape City? From some shots in the film, it looks like it's close to the hunt field and so near the campground; but I can think of an area of trees not far from the visitor's center that might fit the bill as well.
Great tour guys!! I'd love to retrace your steps. What trail do you follow to get to Ape City?
I'm not sure there is a name of the trail, but when you enter the park take the trail to the right and cross over the creek.
The road is "Crags Road" (but there are a lot of them with the same name). Follow it to Century Dam and you're there.
Excellent & fun video
Fantastic and thank you.I will be visiting America when restrictions ease.
Are there any maps of shooting locations in Malibu Creek as I intend to visit ?
I am also going to visit Point Dune when I go,and pound my fist into the sand.
But did you find any bananas?
Just a comment on the bridge and what's across from it... There is a path on the other side, and in the movie at 47 minutes, they show the apes on a path on the other side of the river. Small detail, just thought I'd point it out.
I was just there tripping on acid
Good for u bruh
@@myagentivan whi tf are you goofy 🤡😂

Some Pretty Goofy Talk!
What?
How did you miss the cornfield?
where is the location for butch cassidy and the sundance kid....where they jump off the cliff....into the river....ive been to the spot early 80s....there is a cement footing they installed somewhere there.
Baker's Bridge, north of Durango, Colorado is where Butch and Cassidy, jumped off of the bridge. Beautiful area!!
I hope the pieces they pilfered didn't end up on eBay. So annoying.
"Back in '77 I actually dated an ape woman." 🤪
Nope, the pieces are still in my collection.
What a waste of time that you guys couldn't even say where the physical locations were based on the roads through the park or even show your path and locations on a map. I'm sure you had fun but does nothing for anyone that wants to go out there as well. Meh.
We showed you exactly where to go. Sorry you thought this video was a waste of time.
@@SkywalkingThroughNeverland Actually you didn't. Not once is Craggs road really referenced. At the point where you are at the visitor center, did you continue over the bridge going west or did you go north further up Craggs road? Not once did anyone say, "follow this route" and give specific instructions. Just a few giddy middle aged guys sort of sharing a secret but not really. At least y'all had fun!
@@alpinewav the intent was to show you the locations not how to get there. There are plenty of maps online to show you that. Once again I apologize if this was a waste of time.
