Generally, a furnished 2-bedroom place in a modern building, with pool, workout room, parking and even a security guard, runs between $500 and $1,000 a month, depending on location. But also, what's the realtor thinking when she shows a place only 100 less, without many of the features the customer wants. And yes, it's nice if the outside of a building is attractive but that isn't what I'll be seeing when I'm in my apartment.
Finally, based on most of the interiors and furnishings of the first two apartments, they also didn't have 'charm'. They looked more like more sets for a 70's American TV show. They certainly weren't what I think of when I think of France. And I have a friend who lives in France. His place looks nothing like that.

#3 Those places are nightmares in the US, no one is going to choose them in other countries if they can afford not to. We showed some friends from New York an apartment building like that in Mexico, granted it was in much worse condition that this one was, but they immediately were like, no way. Get us out of here. Most Americans living abroad want to live in nicer conditions than at home.

How much do you wish to spend? Well, daddy is only sending me $10,000 per month so we need to be careful with the rent.

I've chosen the third flat a little bit out of the city centre. Her husband would have had his parking space and they could have saved 500 bucks a month - to be able visiting other countries in Europe. The majority of Americans in this show are acting like really spoiled kids and some kind of dumb.

I don't get why people loves bathtub so much. Its unpractical and wasting time to clean it. If you want to soak nicely i suggested you to get a jacuzzi instead, placed it outdoor will better.

You have to wonder if this silly business about the difference in price they are willing to pay is just scripted, assuming they actually set the limit themselves. They couldn’t get anything close to that in Birmingham Alabama! They just end up looking like spoiled, entitled brats. IMO

I love the international shows. Again, another negative agent that causes basic needs such as parking and a bathtub and light and bright as wish list options. These are basic needs and not wants, so, a good agent would respect the clients requests...

Actually, the realtor did a great job. A bathtub is not a given in European housing. Parking is also not a given. In Europe, you can apply for a residential parking permit that allows you to park in your area. If a car doesn't have that permit on its windshield and is caught, there is a fine.
