No disrespect to this comment because in some ways I can agree that somethings may not fit certain songs, but the majority of the time, the "unnecessary fluff'' that you are talking about is often the expression of the immersion in the holy spirit and letting God take control over your hands and your worship.
TooMuchSauce and just to reply to your comment, no disrespect as well because I agree with what your saying, because I too as a drummer will often find myself just letting go and letting the spirit take over during a worship performance, but I think what the original post meant was sometimes people add their own “fluff” to video tutorials when I think people at that time are wanting to learn how to play as close to the original song as possible, after learning, maybe then they would add their own style or add their own touches to the song 🙂

Bruh,,,,, that snare!! Would you mind telling me what frequency’s you tune the heads to? I use a remo p4 coated clear dot on the batter, hazy ambassador snare side on the reso, and tama 42 wire strand, so I would love to see how my snare sounds with those frequencies. Thanks bro!
Nope! I am using a room sample to make it a little bigger, but it's minimal -- worked pretty hard to get a snare sound I like. Still a little tweaking to do as I learn more; glad you like!

what you do with your right you should be able to do with your left. if you aren't already, then try doing paradiddles at challenging tempos for 5-10 minutes every day.

Hey bro! I gotta agree with the rest, that snare is bigger than life! Do you use samples or just straight to EQ?
I use a room sample to "thicken" to up a bit, but the rest is a mix of EQ, compression, and reverb! Glad you like -- think I'll do a snare mix vid!
