    I love the versatility of single/parallel/series switching. That is what makes my Ibanez AR420 my favorite guitar.
    Don’t know if it will fix your whammy bar problem or not, but you could try dipping the end of the bar in clear nail polish to give it a little extra thickness and grip. I’ve done that on things before that I’ve wanted to be slightly tighter. Loctite may also work if it is the version designed to make screws stay in place while keeping them removable.

      Good ideas! Thanks for sharing that, and I might try one or both for the whammy 👍. And that’s cool you’ve experienced the same pickup setup too. Versatile and fun

      @@SteveGuitar yeah I have wired other guitars to have the pickups in parallel too. I love how it smoothes out the tone and gives some of the characteristics of a single coil and some of a humbucker.

    The arm has to be pushed in hard, because it connects with a 'split collet' that grips the arm and holds it in place

    The vibrato arm usually fits in kinda solid but can move a little but there should be a pressing happening to the arm. If its loose as can be itd make me think its not screwed into the spring at all and the spring needs reseting. Try inserting the trem arm and pulling up on it and see if it tries to catch. The floating tremolo though is often revered for simply being static and imparting a drippy tone round surfy sizzle thing that the fender pickups does so well so i wouldnt be too worried unless you use vibrato alot. I use vibrato myself for modest mouse type stuff but ive found the G&L's syncronized bridge is the best. It doesnt require the arm to bend the vibrato arm at all, you can do it with the back of your hand like the dynamic vibrato of a fender mustang but with the tuning integrity of a stratocaster trem.

    I just bought this same guitar. Prefer this option better than the rhythm circuit. Seems a wider range of use.

    I learned from a technician that the problem was caused by the tremolo lever design. There is no lock. You can press it in tightly or loosely. Depending on the type of game.
    Sorry, Google translation.

    I have the J. Mascus jazzmaster. You may have to take the trem off to get to the little catch under the hole. If your arm doesn't snap in, a little gizzmo is broke or needs a tweek. Not a big techoe fix.

      That’s super helpful, thanks! I’m due for a new set of strings, so I think I will give that a shot before I try bending the arm or anything like that. Appreciate it!

    Those were some pretty good tones. What preset were you using on the GTX?

      Thanks Terry! That was my Clean Dream tone, which is my favorite. 65 Deluxe with low gain, lots of reverb and delay, etc. great with headphones!

    What was the name of that tune? I have a Jaguar. Whack the base of the trem bar with a hammer once. Slight bend should help.

      “This Night Has Opened My Eyes”. Listen to the studio version, not live😎. And great tip. That might solve the problem 👌

      I fucking love the Smiths. Johnny Marr is one of my four guitar heroes along with David Gilmour, John Frusciante, and Zakk Wylde.

    I want to try one. Awesome jam the smiths are awesome. The trem arm I think I saw a video about the arm long ago about tightening methods but not sure I remember. Oooooooohhh I have a strat , strat another strat and HH fusion T. Hahahahahah. You knew that. I wonder if you wrap plumbers tape around the tip of it would mess up the trem hole or worth shot??? Great axe man!!!

    • @SteveGuitar
      @SteveGuitar  2 года назад

      The best suggestion so far might be to hit the end of the bar with the hammer to try to bend it. I’ve read that elsewhere before. Tape on it makes it too thick, and then it won’t fit down in the hole. I’ll figure it out!
