Haha you make me laugh more lip balms than undies 😂 your definitely gunna need full on grandma undies and more maternity pads, never knew how much liquid comes out after birth 😳 good luck, can’t wait to hear of the news! Xx
Had a baby 3 weeks ago and word of advice: Pack a couple of 0000 onsies and a couple of 000 onsies just because you don't know what size he will be. Pack a few more singlets, pack more nappies and a thing of wipes also. And for yourself you need big daggy undies and dark coloured pants (preferbly black) nothing too tight nice and comfy for you. Toiletries are essential but makeup there's really no point. Also bring a water bottle because the cups just aren't big enough and you get soo thirsty. And I packed some snacks (Lollies and mixed nuts) because hospital food sucks and you can get hungry in the middle of the night. Also call and ask the hospital what they provide and what you need to bring just to double check everything.
And also heaps of hair ties. Because you get soo hot and just want to your hair out of your face. Oh and I had a heat pack for my back during labour, super helpful. Also had a book when I wanted some me time while baby slept. And I brought his baby book and a pen so I could record the info while it was fresh in ny mind
Definitely need big undies for your pads & white silk shorts might not stay white for long 🙈 good luck with your birth & all the best! I had my baby boy in October & was a great experience x
If you haven't given birth yet: Take a lot of baby wipes, Also I had those nappies and they were quite large - huggies newborn are smaller. And dummies are risky business if you do end up breastfeeding. Milk produces when your baby cries, so if you stifle the cry your milk won't produce. And also, newborns don't cry unless they're trying to tell you something. And also it can confuse them and make it hard to breastfeed that way. AND they also suck in excessive air with the dummy which gives them wind and makes them cry. I took 2 and never ended up even needing them at the hospital, then found out all this when I experienced the wind. Good luck with delivery. Xo.
If you haven’t got them, I highly recommend you buy baby nighties. They are so handy during night changes. They do away with all the flaming poppers. You’re going to be changing him SO often trust me, nighties will be your best friend at 3am A word on the sanitising thing, if using hot water, you need to boil it so it’s at a constant temperature over 100degrees otherwise it won’t be sterile. Better still chuck them in the steam steriliser 👌 Also, please don’t put shoes on him. Anything that has a form to it can affect bone growth. I absolutely hate seeing babies in shoes before they need them (that’s only when they start to walk). Yes they’re cute but the bones are so malleable that close fitting firm type shoes can wreck foot shape. Stick with socks if anything. I used to leave my son’s feet bare as often as possible and if you do put anything other than socks on his feet just make it for short periods like taking a photo 🤷🏻♀️ So excited to see this Bub!! You’ve just utterly bloomed over this pregnancy 👌💜 P.S. Absolutely love the nursery 👌
FYI...to sanitise it takes 5 minutes of rapid boiling water. That water in the mug cools to fast for it to be sanitised. Not a huge issue if they are new...more of an FYI for the future 🙂
Your going to be a great mum skye! My son is 2 and I remember going through all this packing etc, a baby is the best thing to ever experience in life ❤️ my son is my world
If your giving birth at Gold Coast Hospital they don’t supply nappies or anything for bubs, so pack a whole pack of nappies and wipes, I took a 26 pack of nappies and only had a few left over, dont worry about shoes for bubs, pack a warm blanket for him, pack atleast 1 size 000 incase he’s bigger than expected :)
RiceARonia New borns poo quite a lot and because new borns first few poos are like thick black tar you end up using quite a few :) It can get quite expensive depending on what brand of nappies you use lol
you will need some more pajamas and undies.. literally never knew how much fluid and blood you lose after bubs is born until I had my daughter 2 weeks ago... I went through 25 maternity pads in 5 days so pack more of those also!!
Skye Wheatley I know right! Also pack more undies for you, because you do bleed very very heavy and 9 times outta 10 you’ll bleed onto your undies, I packed about 10 just in case and had to change a few times, you never know if you may tear either, i did and bleed alot!
Hey lovely, if your going public for bub and having him at the gold coast uni hospital you will have to supply all nappies for bub. When i had my daughter last year i had to supply everything and they didn't supply anything besides the wraps which you can take home x
Definitely pack black pants, after birth bleeding is definitely a whole other ball park compared to a normal period and more maternity pads I used like 3 packs in the first 5-7 days but I went public hospital too I live in qld and when she was born they had a nappy and like little flannel blanket but one you go back to the room you have to supply you’re own Have been watching you for so long and throughout this whole pregnancy and legit check your Instagram stories 50 times a day I can’t wait! 😍💞
Not long now! How exciting! I would be packing nappies and a few more 0000 onesies! Also need granny jocks lol! Only to hold the maternity pads cos they are huge! Would also pack darker clothes especially on the bottom! X
Sarah Fogarty I didn’t want to sit down for a week or two after birth because of the stitches It was that painful. Haha I can’t imagine wearing a g string through that pain too
Sarah Fogarty I mean ...? Possible to wear tampons ? I never had have strong period in my life or painful one BUT after I give birth ... I am little worried about what it’s gonna come out 😆
Emma Giovannoni are the stitches ... did you heal ? Is you vjay the same ? I am so so so scared about all this like damn .. someone tell me how is it for real after the baby is out 🙊🙊😰🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Good luck Skye your so organised baring in mind you said your not good for you :) can’t wait to see update on your bubba and your story of delivery good luck ! Love your channel xx
The hospital i went to didn't didn't supply nappies or wipes. And they weren't very giving with the maternity pads when I ran out cos I was there longer then I thought. So make sure to bring extras or have a back up bag? And take snacks! Best of luck!! Can't wait to see baby!
Girlllll stack up on the normal black briefs and more maternity pads! Also baggy comfy dark pants. The johnsons breast pads are the best because of the shape and no leakage. I found those ones you have bunch up real weird n can leak because it doesn’t cup the breast. When bubs teeth start coming, the orthodontic dummies are the best so their teeth don’t get messed up. The GC hospital didn’t provide nappies, unsure if you are going there but yeah. Hope your birth goes well... prepare yourself for pain 😂 but it’s a beautiful thing.
I’d take more nappies...the hospital (a private in Melbourne) that I had my daughter gave me like maybe a dozen and got super weird and cranky when I asked for more...had to send husband to grab some...but I did have a emergency c-section so was in for like 7 days...
I’d recommend like a waist trainer or something similar as it will help for core support and help you abdominal muscles go back to normal. My sister just had her baby and she was having trouble with him latching and feeding and the midwife told her to put ice cubes on your nipples and it helps. Just a quick little tip incase hah. Good luck hun ❤️
Oh hunny that head massager is not gonna distract you from the contractions haha you’re not gonna want to even be touched 😬 good luck with the birth, hope it all goes smoothly ❤️
Just so you know hun hospitals dont supply nappies, bring a big packet with you as newborns are changed ateast 8 to 10 times a day possibly even more!!! Good luck!!!!!
One tip that I really love was buying continence aids from Wollies for $12, so you have disposable undies and you can throw them away instead of cleaning them. Because you will bleed.
I’m a g string girl too but omg your not going to want to wear a g string after birth! Or white shorts! I bled threw everything in 10 mins.. birth is beautiful but the mess is not so just prepare 😂
Hey babe! I'd take a few more darker pairs of comfy pants as you will most likely bleed heaps afterwards! I bled through so many outfits after giving birth, and lots more nappies for bub as the hospital will most likely not supply them! None of the hospitals around me do, other then that you've got heaps! xx Can't wait to see your little man 😍😍 xo
Girl I hope your reading the comments, seriously after having a baby is not like a period at all! Pack black or brown pants and lots of lots of grandma undies your going to thank us all later seriously having a baby isn’t a walk in the park your body is definitely not the same after having a baby regardless of what anyone says!
‘I don’t know if he’s big or small like... what the vibe is’ 😂❤️
Haha you make me laugh more lip balms than undies 😂 your definitely gunna need full on grandma undies and more maternity pads, never knew how much liquid comes out after birth 😳 good luck, can’t wait to hear of the news! Xx
All I can see is white clothes 😰 and all I can remember is how much I bled with my first bub!!
SAME !! Haha
imogen pearson yer I did that mistake I had a white bra on lol when they put my son on me
Fake lashes, g-strings and white pants after giving birth😂 love the confidence
bahah couldn't agree more, think its a bit unnecessary tbh but I guess if it makes her happy than it doesn't matter!! xx
Made me chuckle 😄😃😂
yea hunnie she gonna need some big granny undies when she realizes what comes after the baby ahaha
She should leave the white silk pj shorts at home. Theyre gonna get ruined day 1 after birth.
I'm guessing the hospital bag for baby number 2 will be totallyyyyyyy different 😂😂😂

Less white, more black pants & pads with wings 👍 oh and comfie undies not g strings, I couldn’t think of anything worse after giving birth 😂😱
If you haven't given birth yet:

Rachael Ashcroft what? You went through 26? How many times do babies poo a day? lol I am so clueless! That must get expensive.
RiceARonia New borns poo quite a lot and because new borns first few poos are like thick black tar you end up using quite a few :) It can get quite expensive depending on what brand of nappies you use lol
Rachael Ashcroft omg that’s so bad they don’t supply them 😭😭😭

I also put a pad in, so your fully supported! It gave me peace of mind!!
The maternity ward should be kept pretty warm, I found it was way too hot! But it has to be for the babies
you may not leak until your milk comes in. it's your first baby so it can take at least three days you'll be home by then :). good luck with your bubs
I’m a g string girl too but omg your not going to want to wear a g string after birth! Or white shorts! I bled threw everything in 10 mins.. birth is beautiful but the mess is not so just prepare 😂
