***** This game is actually perfect for a speed run let's play. If you can read the text fast enough you can still enjoy the story and you save so much time instead of playing it...but why would you do that? This game is AWESOME!

They really need to start bringing a couple more mics to give to other people who are knowledgeable about the game. They could even be hand helds--that way they could turn them on only when they want to commentate.

Sometimes you will see a runner go for a bathroom break during unskippable cutscenes or somewhere that doesn't cost time. I think they prepare before the run because they all have a time slot so they can just not drink when they know their run is coming up. But I don't see it being too much of a problem unless the run is more than 5 or 6 hours lol.
I got this game brand new when it came out. Wish I still had it. :( I had been playing the American version of Final Fantasy 2 a lot so when I got to the Cluex fight, I was like "Heeeyyyyyy I know that song!"

I remember as a kid the Dr.Topper sections of Bowser's Keep were about the only time I ever got my Mother to play video games. I was so stumped I think on the cannon ball jumping part and I told her the controls, and she did get past it.

The first 6 jumps (I think) have a pretty big range where you can press Y, then the next 9 jumps (I think) have a much smaller range where you can press the button. From that point on your feet basically have to be touching the enemy when you press the button. Hopefully that was helpful, and not super late.

Phew was able to watch through this entire run because the announcer became more manageable. It might be because the guy in the back left wasn't doing it though for most of this run so it just didn't seem so loud after awhile.
Of the 6 doors, 4 lead to rooms with puzzles and 2 lead to rooms with battles. They are randomly assigned these and are different every time you play. The rooms with battles take a long time to get through, so it makes more sense for the speedrunner to just die and go through a different door. Everyone groans because Cyghfer hits the 2 battle rooms right off the bat.
So what happens if the runner has to go to the bathroom or something, can you pause the times then, or do they just have to live with it? And i LOVE this game, even though it was out before i was born my dad had a copy of it and i played it through my entire childhood and such. I am a huge fan of what you guys do on this channel, its more than just button mashing, its science ;), hope to see some amazing runs out in the future

1:41:38, if you go behind those enemies waiting in the sand portals they will jump up then jump back in thus skipping the fight and helping eliminate time. Not sure if you knew this or not.

How do you do 100 super jumps? I am just about as good at this game as Cyghfer in terms of the platforming parts and timing of attacks and blocking, but I have never understood how to do 100 super jumps. When do you press Y?
