For those that are still wondering who Giuseppe Garibaldi was: He was an Italian patriot, and a national hero. Probably the most famous and important character of our history. And yes, he was a guy with huge beard and moustache.

@John my dad has a moustache with a little bit of a stubble so I think that's what my facial hair will grow to be like. I currently am 14 with over 100 hairs under my nose yet no beard.

Giuseppe Garibaldi was what today we would call “a man of arms”. Born in Nice (actual France but then part of one of the reigns making up Italy) he performed armed feats since the early age and served under 4 different kingdoms taking part in 6 different wars till he reached the grade of General. Is namely considered the man that materially unified Italy militarily, with the famous “Expedition of the 1000” from northern Italy down to Sicily, shortly before the country was politically unified in the Reign of Italy with Camillo Benso count of Cavour and mr. Mazzini and others. He was red haired and had a characteristic big manly BEARD. :-) Ciao dall’Italia!
