I'm so glad to see you review these figures! While I know that you don't quite like the Movie aesthetic, the design philosophy of the entire 2007 Movie line I think has all your favourite features. Lots of articulation, significant yet minor and non intrusive action gimmicks, but most importantly, true weapon storage and integration. The only figures that really break at least one of those rules are Blackout and Jazz, plus leader Optimus and voyager Ironhide a little bit. Personally, I love them all because the robot designs of the first two movies are my favourite in all of Transformers. I know a significant portion of fans dislikesthem, but the designs' complexity makes them endlessly captivating to look at and lends itself to a myriad ways to interpret them in toy form. Also, it's really the only time the transformers have ever looked truly alien.
