I love how you fixed that room with little hits of purple all over the place to match your hair and shirt, even a purple flood lights. So detailed which is likely why you can make the instructions to skate easy. It's how your mind works. Love all your videos, best ever on the subject!
THIS is the breakdown of pivots I’ve been looking for!!!! I’ve wanted to learn pivots but didn’t quite understand what part of my feet should be working - front, heel or what edge. THANK YOU IMMENSELY!
Skatie? Can you please teach me that move, the one you did when you were exiting the video. You were rolling and flipping back and forth on one skate. It's the only one I want to learn so badly right now. Like, I feel like I could do it, but I am not sure how. Help, please.
I prefer a hard wheel as it gives more slip for this type of turn. If your wheels don’t slip in the floor you’ll need to lift them more and that’s harder.
@@Skatie is the general theorie this -> learn the turns and transitions on slightly harder wheels because of being easier and then switch to dance wheels like rolline ice 92a 61mm?
@@elzbietask8s575 doing pivots is easier on harder wheels. On soft wheels and on some surfaces you just can't do them without lifting up all the way and picturing on 2 wheels. You'll want wheels that are at least 95a. I personally use 99a but pivots are easiest on 101a or fiberglass wheels. But since slipping the wheels sideways is easier on harder wheels, you'll have less grip on the floor which if you like making sharp turns there's a chance you may slip out if you have enough speed. So that's why i personally use 99a bc it has just enough extra grip for me. But it's something that you learn overtime.

Glad I could help! Have fun. 🛼🌟⭐️😎
Another awesome breakdown! Thanks❤️
Thank you so much x 🌟😎🛼💕
Skatie videos come right on time! Im glad you've been emphasizing pivots. they'll be my achilles heel to overall (skill) progress forsure
They’re really tricky. It’s finding that tipping point. Hard wheels definitely help. ⭐️🤩
And FAVORITE beginner video!!!!! Minor details are Major!
Glad you liked it!! Thank you. ⭐️😎🌟🛼
This is so awesome for pivot turns and transition. Thank you so much for creating and sharing this video!
Hope it helps you 😎🛼🌟🤩
Your video tutorials are amazing! They are well organized and easy to follow; thank you for sharing your talent of skating!
Thank you so much ⭐️😎🛼🌟
oh thank youuuuuu!!! ❤ now i know what i constantly did wrong. the crab walk. toe-toe and heel-heel. in stead of heel-toe... 😅
Sometimes it’s just the subtle things that are hard to see, until someone points it out, that make all the difference. Glad this helped you 😎🤩🛼⭐️
I was making the exact mistake!
Crab walk is an old dance move called the swirl 😊
@@FoxFaderWorld that’s really interesting. I didn’t know that xx
@@Skatie 😃
Trying this “Crab” is confusing 😂But, I’m still out here practicing! Thanks again ❤
Do you ever use sliders or spinners at all? I saw an exercise for hockey stops and plows with them & resistance bands and it looked fun. Great video.
Spinners are great fun 🤩. Anything that helps with balance and co-ordination is great for skating skills.
Thank you so much 😘

Hi Katie, are these exercises mean to be done rolling or in place? I know the crab walk is done in place, but not sure of others. Thanks!
Skatie?

Hi, it's just another form of a pivot. I'm not sure I've covered that exact pivot in a video yet. That may be a future video.
fanbloodytastic!! thanks :)

still one question to go. what kind of wheels do you use for those exersizes? i cannot make up my mind.

@@hughmungus99 clear. thank you. i have some trouble in picking my wheel and trying to be artistic skater ♥️
I'm starting to think Katie is trying to hurt us 😅😅
Maybe try it in shoes first!💥 😂
