Slaughterhouse Survivors is an amazing charity operating in Harbin, China whose focus is to rescue dogs from the meat trade in China and other circumstances of abuse. They also rescue cats...and any animal in need!
Larry is approximately 2 years old. He was rescued by the founders of Slaughterhouse Survivors along with some of their fabulous volunteers in April 2019. He was pulled from a meat truck and taken into their care. In October 2019, he made his trip by plane from China to France from where he was driven into England and met by his new family.
Larry now lives a very happy and safe life in Northern England. Larry's family (and Larry!) will forever be grateful to Slaughterhouse Survivors for saving his life and countless others. To think what would have happened to him that day, had he not been rescued, is heartbreaking. It is hard to imagine how anyone could intend to inflict pain and suffering upon him (or any animal).
Unfortunately, there are so many dogs and other animals suffering in China and across the world. We are somewhat comforted though that there are amazing, selfless people out there, like the founders of Slaughterhouse Survivors and their volunteers, that will fight tooth and nail, at personal cost and sacrifice, to save them.
At the end of the day, we have to believe that compassion will win!

The cruelty these animals endure is Inexcusable. Enjoy him as he’s stunning and he clearly looks happy. ❤️
Thank you for adopting him. These poor dogs need to be rescued from the horrific torture then slaughter that is still going on certain countries. Adopting helps so much. ❤

@Lola Dunlap these dogs are beaten , burdened and burned alive. They get get their limbs chopped off while they are alive, and they live in small crate with 3+ dogs ALIVE. That’s cruel.
@Lola Dunlap oh that’s not at all what i’m saying, it’s not the fact that they eat the animals, it’s how they are treated beforehand. Now many farm animals are treated extremely poor and get abused and neglected . But many farmers/companies make sure their animals live a decent life before being killed (free range) . But in the countries where they eat dogs, they steal peoples pets. They believe abused animals are better quality. That’s what’s fucked up. They could put a gun to the dogs head and kill them instantly, but they makes them suffer . Now don’t say i’m being a hypocrite because cows/chickens/pigs/etc. get treated the same way but at least some actions are being taken .
God inspired these dogs to be loyal to humans and be best friend to a human not to be eaten us humans have betrayed the dog species god has given us the animals to eat the live stock.

Hexal One A lot of the Asian cultures don’t eat dog all the time they eat it at certain festival times... they round them up to eat them. They cook them and skin them when they are alive. Condemn yes ... wholeheartedly I do... want to stop them yes I do... think it’s disgusting... hell yes I do... think they are hungry no I don’t... just like vaginal mutilation it’s a cultural thing that needs to stop.... China has supposedly changed dogs status back to that of a pet instead of livestock but that didn’t stop the Yulin dog festival from going ahead.... savagery in its extremely....

Larry thankfully got a second chance and he will bring you and your family so much joy. Slaughterhouse Survivors is a magnificent organisation, which ideally wouldn't exist, as there shouldn't be a dog, or cat, meat trade at all. People, living in countries, where dogs and cats are sold for meat, need to be educated about what a barbaric thing the trade is. How anyone could consider sending Larry and all the other dogs, sent off to be killed, is beyond comprehension.
You are living my dream!! I cried & cried to see how much "1 dog" was loved by you and your family. 1 life saved and loved and cherished like all dogs should be. I wish we could save them all. You are beautiful and so is Larry. Thank you for being the kind of human we should all be!!

I saw a video of a Heartless woman from China carrying 5 tiny dogs so tieless like they band chickens which hurts me in my heart so much! They say China doesn’t eat them then why kill them what do they think we are not intelligent! We have to get this stopped which I feel may be not a good situation! Thank The Lord for Good Souls!

Such a beauty I know that hundreds of these types of dogs are bred as food in China and how they get slaughtered its horrific.

When i rescued my 20 day old dog from the forest he coulnd walk-i took out all the parasites and gave him milk and a warm bath-after that he felt much beter but the first time he gave me a smile and realised what ive done was after 2 months-he was much happier and always wags his tail-he knows how to sit jump lay and to give me his paw-either way im really shoked how her dog got happy right after she took it-maybe cuz it was older-idk,does anyone know?

How did you get this dog imported?
I'm not against people eating dogs, I'm just against the way they do it. It is very inhumane.
Im against it tho i could accept it a bit better if they would not be so terrible cruel towards them. Its soulcrushing knowing what these dogs have to endure.
