    Assignment Requirements:
NOTE: Students must accomplish all tasks using parts provided by SDI. Any deviation from that must receive prior approval from the faculty.
For this project, complete the disassembly and reassembly of your revolver according to the instructions provided in this module’s lecture instructions. Submit a video showing, at a minimum, the following steps/stages of the project:
Demonstrate the proper method of removing the side plate as outlined in this module's lecture material.
With the side plate removed, show your instructor how the components are resting within the firearm. When showing your instructor this, point out some of the major components while also using their proper names.
Remove additional components/assemblies until only the hammer, hand, transfer bar, trigger, and cylinder lock remain.
Remove all of the components and show your instructor the stripped frame.
In a portion of the video, the student will:
Show and describe what is happening during all eight steps of the cycle of operations (COO) in the double-action revolver platform.
Name the major components (i.e., hand, cylinder, sear, etc.) within the platform and their role within the firearm COO, as well as the noteworthy areas within the frame.
