Serious question... Do you think of sigma more as a personality type or a philosophical practice? The reason I ask is because I think it has a lot to do with spirituality and understanding of the self. In other words, a philosophical practice. Throughout my life I had classic sigma behaviors but it really poured on when I began serious spiritual awakening and worked through ego death. As soon as you are no longer seeking external validation you naturally become sigma. My theory is that raising your consciousness and awareness, becoming more empathic to your surroundings, you can't help becoming sigma.
Before someone made this word up to classify someone's behavior, there were a slew of men, being themselves. That is how you knew the quality of man and woman that you were dealing with. As their behavior and thinking didn't resemble what was a theme for most, elsewhere. Most of what's been said here pretty much goes against who most have aimed to be/be like for so long. If and when you happen to meet people that have no problem being themselves. That healthy type interaction speaks volumes of what you would think would be a space that everyone would operate from. But this isn't so. As most folk tend to copy and paste at will, and often times to their own detriment. People can hate sigmas because manipulation and deception does not work on us. I remember having a heated back and forth with someone who was defending their ego against the truth. He lobbed a clever but false insult at me trying to raise the temperature. But instead of getting mad, I laughed!! I laughed because it was funny and I gave him props for such a comment. He was completely taken aback and confused. He hit me with his best insult and I just belly laughed and applauded him for the entertainment value. The onlookers expecting a brawl to break out all laughed with me and that diffused the tension. That guy avoided me like the plague after that but I held no grudge.
Quite true, i don't consider myself a full "sigma" as i do exhibit alpha traits, I guess it depends on what my ultimate motive might be in any given situation. i would say im more sigma than anything else. i don't use social media other than commenting on youtube. I have no interest in what others think of me, i simply strive to get as much as what i feel i need to get out of life as i can. I do not "hide" though. i simply see no reason to parade myself, or my ambitions to the world. Especially to those that have no direct bearing on my plans. I also don't make myself known in any situation if i don't have to (though i can and do), and yes im a very private person.
I was the same way though my teens and 20's. I was kinda introverted but I liked to show off and be "the man." As I got older and went through my spiritual awakening I had a dark night of the soul and released my need to satisfy my ego externally. I went within and realized that I am and have always been enough as I am. I forgave myself for my flaws and dropped the karmic ties to people I held grudges against. Forgiveness for all and no judgments going forward. So in a way, I did have a lot of sigma traits all along. But, after doing a lot of inner work, I found myself embodying the sigma mindset. Long story short, people can become sigma. In videos like this I can pause at any moment and explain in great detail the how's and why's we do these things. Ironically it is nice to know I'm not alone in this rare social philosophy / personality.

Sigmas are very self aware. So, the idea of you analyzing your own behavior is no surprise. I remember having a heated back and forth with someone who was defending their ego against the truth. He lobbed a clever but false insult at me trying to raise the temperature. But instead of getting mad, I laughed!! I laughed because it was funny and I gave him props for such a comment. He was completely taken aback and confused.
He hit me with his best insult and I just belly laughed and applauded him for the entertainment value. The onlookers expecting a brawl to break out all laughed with me and that diffused the tension. That guy avoided me like the plague after that but I held no grudge.

At some point before I knew about Sigma Males I thought I was crazy.
Its called keeping your world small.
Quite true, i don't consider myself a full "sigma" as i do exhibit alpha traits, I guess it depends on what my ultimate motive might be in any given situation. i would say im more sigma than anything else. i don't use social media other than commenting on youtube. I have no interest in what others think of me, i simply strive to get as much as what i feel i need to get out of life as i can. I do not "hide" though. i simply see no reason to parade myself, or my ambitions to the world. Especially to those that have no direct bearing on my plans. I also don't make myself known in any situation if i don't have to (though i can and do), and yes im a very private person.
I was the same way though my teens and 20's. I was kinda introverted but I liked to show off and be "the man."
As I got older and went through my spiritual awakening I had a dark night of the soul and released my need to satisfy my ego externally. I went within and realized that I am and have always been enough as I am. I forgave myself for my flaws and dropped the karmic ties to people I held grudges against. Forgiveness for all and no judgments going forward.
So in a way, I did have a lot of sigma traits all along. But, after doing a lot of inner work, I found myself embodying the sigma mindset. Long story short, people can become sigma.
In videos like this I can pause at any moment and explain in great detail the how's and why's we do these things. Ironically it is nice to know I'm not alone in this rare social philosophy / personality.
reading books is good when u get to choose it but when it's books that school throws at you, well it it ain't that interesting to read it and it's also a reason why many people don't read books
Reading banned books and adding them to your private library is revolutionary Sigma act. The elite don't want the masses knowing the truth and questioning authority they want nice good working class debt slaves.

I didn't know I'm a sigma man, I just thought I'm antisocial. At least that's what I was always told by my ex-wife.
Sigmas are very self aware. So, the idea of you analyzing your own behavior is no surprise. The worst is when you are aware of your social awkwardness and catch yourself doing that thing in real time.
The motivations of a sigma are so foreign to most people. It is easy for others to project their feelings and values onto our behavior and get it wrong so often. We come off as cold but really never want to hurt anyone's feelings. If only everyone could be responsible for their own emotions and behavior!

He used to invite me over all the time but after the first time I came over I didn't come hang out again. He asked me if he did something to offend me and I told him no, ( I didn't want to tell him his friends and family members made me anxious because I don't do crowds ) but I don't think he believed me because I still didn't want to come over there. I felt bad about it, but not bad enough to go over there. Then they moved and I haven't heard from him since.

I don't consider myself a Sigma, but l certainly have some of these traits. Basically, l cannot stand people as a general rule, as they bore me to tears with their incessant whining and boasting. I much prefer to just be left to my own devices and run my own race.
In scandinavian conutries there's a tacit "law" that is called the law of Jante. This law says that you don't must showcase your success, be humble, don't brag, do no try to make others jaleous or envious. It does have good aspects but also bad ones as you got tendency to diminish yourself all the time or you feel that you don't have the right to be happy for yourself.

Interesting the labels that get applied. In the past I suspect 'Sigma' would have been an Introvert (probably INTJ) on the MBTI scale. Now the narrative has moved on to Alpha, Beta etc. types.

Spot on, my dream and goal is so far beyond most of human kinds comprehension that it would be brushed aside as fantasy. The scope and intelligence to achieve this would be too much for people to do.. It revolved around a continuous line over thousands of years, generations upon generations living and achieving this aspect. Its simple to do The powers that be are here to control and don't give a shit about of our true nature and the animals and the planet. Money would be obsolete, The power structures would need a significant change away from money. Everyone standing divvied is week and gives ways to states off perpetual war. No need for AI and integrating with robotics.
All i can say is mankind is never ready for this step. The more AI develops the further away it is to achieve . At times I find myself struggling with the same mundane superficial crap that people go around in circles with as my world is far removed from the mainstream. Peace and love to all

Then you may be a different archetype. Desiring to be an Alpha shouldn't exist, unless you think other types don't measure up. I don't know how old you are, but if you feel uncomfortable or incomplete as a Sigma personality...I would consider digging deeper into who you are.

Sigma is true confidence, i never understood why alpha is glorified. I see this competitive, obnoxious nature as insecurity. I don't even care enough to show people i'm better than them at something. Never understood social media either, why do you care about likes? baffling to me how fragile and insecure society has become.
Alpha come to think about it is has many insecure traits, they need to by any means let everyone know they are in charge, they need to be on top, where as a sigma sees the bigger picture and understands validation amongst men is worthless, I don't get to caught up into all these labels, but I do see characteristics that make sense, when you are really content and doing what you should, nothing needs to be said and those who should see it will and those who don't won't but it doesn't matter because we grow and our past that, it's very liberating to come out of the rat race and stop competing in a game we can never win.
