This is so far the best of all descriptive how to part for box braiding. I liked how you have reference points where to part from. Tutorial well done 👏🏾
I did my first box braids today and lemme tell ya this video was a whole lotta help. My friend has wanted braids for a while and since I’m always doing crazy things with my hair I figured id give it a go. That ish is so hard took me 8 hrs but def learned a lot of things!
Can you please show how to start off and manage the braiding hair when you first take it out the pack for different size braids and how to keep the amount of hair consistent? That’s my biggest struggle. Every time I try the hair usually gets tangled or matted because I never know how to separate it. These braids look good btw 😍😍😍😍
Thank you for this video. It has helped me tremendously! I braid perfectly, but have always struggled with my parting. My daughter is in love with her hair! ♥️
Girl you are the bomb!! probably the neatest braids and precision I seen so far. The way you braided the hair in one braid was amazing. I will definitely keep watching. I’m a new subscriber. Thanks for sharing your talents you definitely rock.🤗
I am 10 years old and i am in 5th grade and i am getting box braids tomorrow (1/2/19) and my mom is at work and when she comes home i am going to show her this video because for weeks i did not know how i wanted my hair, but now this is the way i would like my hair. Thank you so much for posting this vid
I love free shit and that includes the love I have for doing my own hair, but trying to part and style your own hair is hard, you may not, but if you ever (box) braid, part or twist your own hair could you make tutorials for that❤
BEAUTIFULLY DONE! This was very easy to understand and follow. Thank you for providing parting guides! OMG I needed that soooo badly 😁 Always beautiful work! 🙏❤
GURLLLLL i learned sooooo much shit from this video . more than any other box braid tutorial . im doin my friend hair & need to make sure i do good better than i do my own hair😭 . thank yuu for this video 😭😭
This video is really helpful because I’m planning on doing this type of box braid but I didn’t know how big or how many parts to get the small box braids that I wanted THXX !!
You always do wonderful work. So neat and beautiful. I love it! If I may offer a little feedback for people like myself that use earbuds or headphones. Your voice, as sweet and soft as it is, is kinda hard to hear so I have to turn up the volume. Then the music comes in and completely blows me away. LOL I really enjoy watching your videos, but I do struggle with the volume. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing. 😀
Nedra Smith omg Yes! Especially when I’m watching after I’ve gotten my daughter to bed lol and the music blasts in and I’m scrambling to turn it down. A majority of RUclips videos are like that unfortunately.
I was wondering if I can get some feedback on this..........I braid as well and I am starting to not like the EZ braid brand. I still have to stretch it when I use it because it is so choppy. Have you or anyone else had this problem?
Now I do the after mouse and I have yet to use the hot water and I think this is what I am missing on my hair but I am going to do this more often so thank you:
thank you so much for uploading this video!!! :) now I'm going to do my own hair this way :) thank you again for the nice neat clear instructions!!! if you upload another video that is similar please also show us the top view down of her finished hair.... meaning those very last two rows I wanted to see that top down angle too! thank you :)
Part small rows around the perimeter and in the front and bigger in the middle with the same size braids. And half moon or upside down U parting gives that illusion
Merry i love you. I watched you all the time. I recently started braiding, I have learned so much from you. You are my impiration to keep on going. 💗 mine is Braids By Nasongae
Hi Merry! Love your channel. Your videos have really helped me improve my braiding technique and I'm comfortable taking a small amount of clients now! Quick question for you: how long does this style (box braids) typically take you to do? I usually finish mine in 6.5-8 hours ( I have small children, so I have to stop sometimes for snack breaks lol). Also how do you pace yourself? Thanks for the input!
Is there any products i should be using? I'm planning on doing box braids but I have long, straight, virgin hair. Is there any info you guys could give me? (article, videos, etc.) I want to wear the braids in appreciation for their beauty and history, without offending others. Thanks! The video was great and her hair is gorgeous. 🤗
Ik with Xpressions you get so much hair in only one pack, can the same be said for EZ braiding hair?? I wanna try using something with a softer texture, but I still get like 2-3 rows of hair braided with only one bag.
Very neat.. Is that a hair gel you're adding before gripping the hair or hair cream? Secondly why are you adding it? Sometimes I feel it makes the scalp dirty because of dust and all that
Beautiful!! but you should let it lay straight after dipping so there no indentation once you take the braid down. I don't pull mine up for atleast the first day.. but is beautiful either way
My problem is staying consistent throughout the whole braid , so if it start to look like the braid getting skinny while going down ; it’s not enough hair ?
Could you do a video from the very beginning of the process? This video was very helpful but for the two videos I watched you had the entire bottom row completed already. Could you begin with taking out the hair, cutting and stretching, etc. I think it would help to see how to prepare the hair, the client, etc. Before beginning Thanks for the video!
I'm 12 And I've Been Braiding My Older And Younger Sister Hair Since I Was 10 And This Is A Boost For Meh Thanks For Your Help 💜
This is so far the best of all descriptive how to part for box braiding. I liked how you have reference points where to part from. Tutorial well done 👏🏾
I love your technique; because, you didn't make the base of the hair bulky. It was flat and very neat. I enjoyed watching your video!

I love it and I love how at the end when you take a pic you hold your clients’ hair up so that we can see the parts. 😊
Her hair is pretty! You do a great job.
I like using the “brick-lay” pattern as well. Good show. Thanks for sharing.
Must detailed box braid tutorial... Really loved the fact that u showed the front hair parting
You could measure with the size of ur finger like by putting the hair by ur ring finger or whatever to keep the size consistent
Alfreda Edwards good idea! Never thought of that.
Ty Dolla to keep it from tangling, when you take it out the pack, hold the middle of the hair and comb/brush each side before separating
Mine too😩
Get pre stretched hair ... use right out the pack
But I can't see the back of my head so it always looks bad
cinnamon roll use 2 mirrors to guide you
Thank you for this video. It has helped me tremendously! I braid perfectly, but have always struggled with my parting. My daughter is in love with her hair! ♥️
THESE BRAIDS LOOK LIKE KNOTLESS THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL ♥️
Makes a lot of sense. I love the explanations on how to part. Thanks a lot.

Those braids are so perfect. I could never.
I believe the term that you are looking for is brick layer parting. Beautiful job.

They came out beautiful!!!!
This was so helpful!! How would the parting at the crown change if you wanted a side part??
GURLLLLL i learned sooooo much shit from this video . more than any other box braid tutorial . im doin my friend hair & need to make sure i do good better than i do my own hair😭 . thank yuu for this video 😭😭

How long does it take normally take you? For these it takes me 9 hours 😩 I just feel like it shouldn't be that long.

❤ your technique. Braids are so neat👍🏼
Thanks for showing how to part box braids . The front part has been a challenge but I will use your method in my next braiding
Very nice her briads look beautiful
I was wondering if I can get some feedback on this..........I braid as well and I am starting to not like the EZ braid brand. I still have to stretch it when I use it because it is so choppy. Have you or anyone else had this problem?
AllThings_Lakirah i like it honestly no issues
I rather Queen B brand, I agree a lot of the EZ braid packs come so choppy instead of "pre-stretched".
I also don't like the ez braid. I don't use it at all!
I use Queen B or Expressions. It's prestretched and it braids easier.
bellaholmes31 where did you find xpressions prestretched??
I love it here thanks for being so informative ...
I used this and another tutorial for knotless braids! Im gonna try it and tell you how it goes
Bro I KNOW she was in pain when the lady started pulling her hair up omg
Pretty hurts
It doesn't hurt a lot
@@ntswakimaredi3065 4 me it does

ive always adored box braid on black women so pretty
@Glam By Merry
How many packs of hair do you usually use when doing small box braids?
she used 5 packs for this one 😍
Super neat and beautiful! You indeed has blessed hands!
Neat and nice demonstration thumps up.
Perfectly demonstrated 😍🤝👏👏👏👏n very neat!!!!
Very nice and neat! Well done.
U did that 👍God Bless your hands 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️
Now I do the after mouse and I have yet to use the hot water and I think this is what I am missing on my hair but I am going to do this more often so thank you:
I swear you are a master at what you do these look bomb I want my hair like this for my birthday.
Thanks for the ez/Xpression braiding tip. This looks beautiful.
Your braids neat again as always 😀
thank you so much for uploading this video!!! :) now I'm going to do my own hair this way :) thank you again for the nice neat clear instructions!!! if you upload another video that is similar please also show us the top view down of her finished hair.... meaning those very last two rows I wanted to see that top down angle too! thank you :)
you are awesome!! I love that you share tips with us
Beautiful as always!
Did you cut the hair in half? I’m trying to figure out how you did them that thick with only 5 packs of hair
Natural DeNae the hair is pre-stretched n the packs are thick I use that hair all the time
I wish u would've shown how to make it less full with the illusion of fullness. Where to make the parts bigger? The middle? Towards the top?
Usually in the middle make the box bigger the fuller at the top. In some tutorials if scalp is showing its to spacey
I find that using triangles give that illusion.
Part small rows around the perimeter and in the front and bigger in the middle with the same size braids. And half moon or upside down U parting gives that illusion
@@khadejahgray thank you
Great job love . Our braiding style is so similar !
Thank you very much for this style. I want to start making hair now

Where is the location because I need a consistent stylist for my daughter!
I'm liking this....
I thank you explained it to where I can understand now if I could do it that might be another thing 😁🤗
Great job! You braided her hair so nice and the parts are perfect! How many packs of hair did you use?
This is so beautiful and neat
Can you please do a video on no-knot braids/box braids? @glambymerry

Simple and easy I love it❤

I braid and to me, two Ez packets are almost equivalent to one packet of Xpression when cut in four.
@@KGEmpress thanks love

I never regretted watching this u a good tutorial

My problem is staying consistent throughout the whole braid , so if it start to look like the braid getting skinny while going down ; it’s not enough hair ?
