Thank you for this. In my country, many people seem to have forgotten this day. My father and every one of my uncles fought in WWII. Europe, the Pacific. No one suffered as much as the Russian people. All my uncles have died. My father spent time in a military hospital after the war. Psychological wounds. He was a tanker. Wounded at Anzio. Like most veterans. He did not talk about the war. Thank you, the Russian people for your part in defeating Nazism.
what country?
@@ladislavsom5096 My family is from the United States of America.
In Russia, it´s a huge celebration, one of the biggest holidays of the year. Memories are still fresh...
Russians invited it by collaborating with the Nazis to divide Europe. Had they helped Poland, the WW2 would have never happened.
@@nsaurabh25 The Western allies did nothing until their ally Poland was invaded. Morally or ethically, say whatever you want, but tactically, I'm sure the Soviets knew they'd lose a lot more lives if they didn't force Poland's allies to get involved somehow.
Thanks for putting this online with English subtitles. I am military veteran. This celebration always makes me cry. I wish my country cared half as much about me, the way the the Russians seem to love their families. I am a woman sickened by my fatherland. Wishing Russia health, strength and family prosperity for generations. Good work to those who organize this things. They are always inspiring and make me wish I was Russian.
Thank you! I agree, Victory Day parade and overall celebrations are very touching. I love seeing the veterans wearing their best clothes full of medals and shining with pride for what the helped to accomplish
Вечная память павшим солдатам! Eternal memory to the fallen soldiers!
Вечная память жертвам войны! Eternal memory to the victims of the war!
Вечная память пропавшим без вести! Eternal memory to the missing without a trace!
thanks for this; please keep making them
Will do, thanks!
👍….. well done
Thank you so much for this video.

Thanks for watching!
I am Korean and I am learning Russian. When I need help with my Russian language, I often used your video. As I am going through this, I've also learned some interesting Russian cultures. In Korea, there are "День победы" just like Russia. That is called "Korean War 1950." It was interesting to compare some special day in Korea and Russia, and your video was really helpful to know some new vocabulary, Russian cultures, and many other things. Thank you!
Thanks for your comment! It´s interesting how in other countries the Victory Day refers to another victory

Thank you for the subtitles. I watched his speech this morning despite not understanding a word of it. It truly was a generation of heros.
Огромное спасибо! С днём победы!
С днем победы!
Today in my country, the United States of America, we are celebrating Mother’s Day. Had the Nazis not been defeated, we might not be celebrating Mother’s Day. We were not invaded. You were. We lost soldiers and sailors as did you, but we did not lose mother’s and children.
When president putin says hurrah i can really say that he is tough and fearless. Glory to Russia.
Very interesting, also from a German perspective. It´s the first time I listen to Putin in Russian and I have to say that he is an excellent speaker. By this I mean not what he is saying but the way he does it. Thanks a lot for posting!
Thank you from Russia 🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺
Thank you so much for this! You’re really making helpful content! Thanks for that! 🙌

My pleasure!
Hello I'm Egor. I'm from Russia and I live in the city of Yakutsk
Привет(здравствуйте) я Егор. Я из России и я живу в городе Якутск
It’s 4 am when I got up. Конечно, I started my day with Boost My Russian. To my great horror, however, President Putin finished his speech without Kristina’s translation and explanation. 😫Это что? I thought to myself. Is she forcing me to be on my own? And why not? Let me get another cup of coffee and watch it again. Most of the President’s words, солдат, морей, Отет, I could actually understand. After all, in 1941, all those soldiers marched straight to the front on their own. Победа. Ура.
Wow, waking up at 4 am to study Russian! I´m impressed with your motivation!
I just checked the video and my translation goes up to the end of the video, so I´m not quite sure what parts of his speech without my translation you´re referring to... maybe the anthem? I have another video on the channel where I break down the anthem line by line
Yes, indeed. It is my fault. I was making coffee, I guess, and didn’t see the screen. Thank you. I memorized the phrase по праву yesterday.
My God, thank you for posting this.
С Днём Победы!!!
Ty for the history lesson
An astonishing and spellbinding speech!
Thank you for this, it's very helpful. Can you do more of these but with popular movies? I liked the harry Potter one very much.
Thank You Very Much !!!
2 sides to every conflict good to hear from the Russian President and others.
Putin is great speaker for anyone trying to learn Russian - excellent diction and not too fast. The West should thank the Russians for Stalingrad - No Stalingrad victory and I hate to imagine what might have happened.
Yes, that´s why I often use his speeches in my lesson. His diction is great and easy to understand
Thanks, thanks, thanks
Welcome!

It would have been nice if the national anthem was included dissapointed by this incomplete video.
Putin’s speech was cut, this is not his full speech.
Я забыл что было сегодня, С Днём Победы!
С днем победы!
Russian Urrah is derived from Mongols' Ukhai which is a taunt to celebrate victory. I reckon they adapted it from Golden horde. Happy victory day.
Interesting, I didn´t know that! Thanks for sharing
Please make more videos like this. Love to Russia from the US.
