This made me realize how much I miss "The Book Ginny". I love Bonnie don't get me wrong, but book Ginny was so sassy! They really ruined it in the films as only "Harry Potter's girlfriend". Does anyone get what I'm saying? :D

Yeah true....she was so popular at hogwarts and she was an excellent Quidditch player...but in the movies this informations are not highlighted....Bonnie Wright is perfect for the role but they should have put more ginny scenes....❤

yeah what the hell was that all about? lol. They could have just kissed or held hands or just stared at each other. But shoelaces? probably the worst moment of all 8 films. I did like the sequence that followed it tho. Its not in the book at all so bravo to film makers for making it powerful piece. Showed right there that she loved Harry so much she didn't think twice before risking her own life. But before that, shoelaces LMAO !

She tore through the fire ring, she reducto-d that whole Mechanic death eater in ONE flick of her wand, she had enough courage to dispose of the diary, she wanted to fight in the battle of hogwarts, she is AMAZING! She will always be my obsessions and I love her more than anything else ♥️ she’s like a comfort source to me and a true friend! And also this edit is Amazing ✨
Ginny's best moment in the movies was the last kiss, 'I know' She knew Harry had to prioritise his fight with Voldemort, she knew Harry had to put that first - the fight, she knew and she accepted it.

I have read all of HP books many times as a kid. Seriously were there any Ginny moments worth remembering? For me, it was completely secondary or even tertiary character from beginning till the end.

I’m so excited for this, Ginny was upon my rereads one of my favourite characters because she’s loyal and brave and stubborn which is what makes her the perfect match for Harry, while movie Ginny leaves out so much of her character this reminds me of why I love book Ginny so much.

I wish the directors would have given Ginny more scenes. Everyone who has read the books knows that Ginny is way more than what the movies showed. In the movies, she was only known as the love interest of Harry and that is also the reason why people who have watched the movies first didn't think Ginny was as important as others think. I feel like nobody could have played the role better than Bonnie Wright but they really did her dirty by just giving her roles with Harry stating that she was nothing more than Harry's love. The only role she even got to show her power was the reducto scene. Those are my thoughts on that.

I love the transition of Cho and Harry kissing then, it fades and turns into Harry and Ginny kissing. Ginny was the greatest, and she deserved more then Harry, even.

Hermione has so much scenes. I think that half of that scenes belong to Ginny. She is ruined by movies without any rights. Stan Ginny for a life time
Emma was amazing and Hermione deserves a lot of screen time. However, flaws are an incredibly important part of a character. Hermione was not perfect and made a lot of mistakes. That is part of what makes her character interesting and relatable. The movies ruined her character too but in a way that made her fans happy. Hermione needs her flaws and without them a huge part of her character is missing. The movies made her seem more like a Mary Sue even thought she had depth and development in the book. The movies made her perfect at the expense of the other characters. Harry isn’t stupid, Ron is more then comic relief, and Ginny is badass. The books have Ron being best friends with Harry while Harry sees Hermione as a sister. He loves her and needs her friendship but she annoys him a lot. In the books it was Ron who stands up to Sirius and, for some reason, it was Hermione in the movie. Hermione is incredibly smart, amazing at spells, and badass and scary when she needs to be. Still, she wasn’t cutthroat. Ginny was. Ginny was bold. That was why she got into the slug club.Ginny stood up to bullies and was actually friends with Luna. Ginny introduced her to the gang, not Hermione. Ginny was the one to call Harry out on his shit She was traumatized and had PTSD from book 2 and yet the movies gloss right over that. Then again, the movies left out some of the most important parts( Winky, Peeves, S.P.E.W, Hermione having her teeth enlarged by Maldonado and Snape not giving a damn, important moments where Snape bullies Neville, Snape calling Lily a Mudblood, Harry AND Hermione being clueless about magic, etc)
Many Ron scenes were given to Hermione but not Ginny's . Ginny's were not shown .

I disagree. On the books Ginny was a developing character who went from practically being non existent during the first five books to being remarkable in the last two, while Hermione was constantly a lead character who was always on Harry’s pov and helped build a huge chunk of the story. I guess that’s what screenwriters took into account, they just wanted to stick with the original formula that gave success to the saga.

Even with her fewer scenes in the movies, Ginny was always one of my favorite characters growing up (and still is ofc). She just has the most enigmatic presence and Bonnie did a great job at portraying her funniness, cleverness and undying bravery. This girl is the definition of a true Gryffindor. 👩🏻🦰❤️

Even before reading the books Ginny was my favourite character I don’t know I just saw potential in her and I really liked Bonnie. But once I read the movies she instantly became my favourite female character ever. She’s amazing I wish they showed that in the movies bc the casting wasn’t the problem, it was the writing. Ginny and Harry weren’t awkward at all and their story is so beautiful and underrated.

Ginevra Molly Weasley deserved better than what she got in the films. And i always found it amazing how no one caught how her Patronus formed into a horse. It literally pared with Harry's Stag. Basically it proved her pure love for Harry. Amazing really

Bonnie Wright would have portrayed the perfect book Ginny, if she was given the chance. It wasnt her fault for the movie Ginny being played as an awkward teenager who obsesses over Harry. She showed that she could have played the part so much better but her script didnt allow her to.
