Hi, Paul. Love the video. Seeing the 2 treadmills you scrapped reminded me of a scrap dumpster the Salvation Army thrift store had in the back. It would be full of treadmills, excercise bikes and other workout equipment as well as truly scrap only items. I asked a guy who worked there if all the excercise bikes and equipment were busted but he said no. He said that they call treadmills clothes racks because eventually people who buy them brand new tire of using them and end up throwing clothes on them before deciding to get rid of them. They get so many each year that they end up giving them away to make room in their storeroom and warehouse and unfortunately have to dump the older models in the scrap bin. So I guess someone must have added some new closet space in their house and didn't need the "clothes racks" anymore. Stay well Paul. You always put a smile on my face and lighten the load that's on my mind.

It's been a while since I've seen a radial arm saw. A friend gave one to me years ago, but after I bought a miter saw I never used it again. I was able to sell the radial arm saw way back when, but I'll bet that there isn't much of a market for them anymore...and NO market (beyond the scrap yard) for saws that don't work and are left on the curb for the Scrap and Pallet Man. 🤫

I really found your emphatic statement "I am not a willing participant in getting older" awesome and I am going to say. Neither am I. The arthritis in my hands make scrapping difficult some days, but what can you do but just keep on keeping on. Take breaks when I can but I love it so I do it. Most days are fine. I meant to say congratulations a on the weight loss, I know how hard that is. My new diabetes medicine helps me by suppressing my appetite.over the past six months, I've lost 30 lbs.

At 05:36 , Wow an upright Hoover with the old-school pull-out cord (when the magnet inside fails, one has to help by pushing the cord inwards) Can't for the life of me remember even seeing one in a scrapping video.
Good that you got it as scrap then someone thinking it was ok, then being bummed out because it was scrap. I fix lawn mowers as a hobby. When I put them out for scrap, they are scrap, never to be fixed. I don't leave anything on them that I can use as parts. I cannot horde them for scrap value eather, no room.

With prices of scrap going up Paul I think maybe you should get the bigger truck, but put some advertising on the side with your number, you will get other work, Im sure... I have an exercise machine like the one you picked up, I tied it up with multiple bungee cords before I moved it to my truck and then into storage.

Radial Arm Saws have been mostly replaced by the smaller Compound Miter Saws.
The radial arm saw should have a safety pin usually made of yellow or red plastic which will not allow the saw to run if not in place.
Always a good day when it's "a no scrap slap day!"
