- It's time for Against All Odds 2008! A show with a main event so great...if you turn off the show when you are told to. Plus the inexplicable burying of the Motor City Machine Guns, Barbed Wire Massacre, the return of Scott Hudson and the debut of Rhaka Khan!
Bryan: "I like how (Bully Ray) said they didn't look like pro wrestlers."
Vinny: "As he stood there in his jeans, tshirt, and flannel.. And Fat!!"
I cried laughing 😆 😆 😆
"To the back!"
That's amazing.
With Steiner's victory at All Against All Odds, that means he can command and demand an X Divided Vision title shot.
For those of you wondering about the 'MMG Burial' It's because they refused to blade in the match.
... and good for them! Going back and re-watching/listening to old TNA it's gross, shitty and off putting how much blood and garbage hardcore wrestling there was in this promotion. Really no reason for there to be blood on EVERY. SINGLE. SHOW.
Pussies…
2008: "5 star matches are very difficult to come by."
2016-2018: Bet.
The glory of a wrestling golden age, wrestling is probably the best it has *ever been*
Well... outside RAW/SMACKDOWN
@@planescaped In ring it's the best, most athletic, impressive, technical it's ever been. Storyline-wise and in terms of eliciting emotional reactions from the audience it's just OK now.
Cosmic Radio
And yet can only get 1.8 and 2.8’s for Raw and Smackdown.
@Django Fett those 50 million subs are from people who only want to see clips because they can't stomach watching three hours of current WWE
@Django Fett
For good and bad.
"This is Total Nonstop Action, this is not the Quran!" ded
Bubba Ray is a very underrated promo guy
"There is an advantage to having your having hopes die, and dreams crushed. You are never disappointed."
This was my first and to date only ppv I ever bought
I think the idea was that if they destroyed the X Division he’d be the champion forever
"RETIRE CHAMP!" - Johnny Devine
So Tomko takes a chair shot for Christian just to turn on him? Logic. What's that?
Such a shame I'd love to watch Christian vs Kurt Angle. If I paid money to watch that ppv and got a screw finish I would be so pissed. They had so much talent then and couldn't book to save their lives. It's amazing njpw actually had a working relationship with that shit company
What is the name of the song when Bryan start your show? I like the Old School music too
good review
good comment
1.7 million views 18k PPV buys damn that terrible
Years later I think Destination X had only 8k buys.
KingOfStrongStyle yes
TNA would kill for 1.7 million viewers in 2018
In a few years WWE will kill for that many viewers for a Raw or Smackdown, at this rate anyway
Cody _
Raw and Smackdown drops into the 1’s at their worse and has been even more over the place since the quarantine so try a few months.
so what they're saying is we shouldn't cross the line and watch the finish to the Cage/Angle match
Wow, identical main events on back to back against all odds. And, with booker t just joining and an extra hour of programming, no change in TV ratings and only 11k buys.....this company was a massive failure.
Imagine someone bashing a wrestling company for getting 1.7 million viewers these days?!
I think tna would be more envious of AEW 100k buys that they managed to pull with fewer viewers.🤷♂️
@@jameskeller1910100, 000 buys in a good economy compared to 20, 000 buys in a recession! lol evens out!
@@corwinbrown2643 😆 🤣 lamest excuse ever. 1. This ppv buy rate and the ones that predate it was before the recession that came at the end of 08. 2. WWE was doing 300k at the same time and UFC was doing close to a million. 3. The current post covid economy is much worse than the 08 recession economy ever was and AEW is still pulling 110k buys.
@@jameskeller1910 And WWE was established and Impact wasn't big difference. And AEW was never a indy promotion like TNA. And TNA didn't have a hot promotion to piggyback off of like AEW had with New Japan. Again big difference
@@corwinbrown2643 AEW began with the indy All in and wasn't originally aligned with New Japan which has zero influence in the US and TNA piggybacked on the legacy of the NWA but whatever. Shit booking, terrible skits, and zero promo for ppv had zero affect on TNA. Whatever you say.
Nice poster
Yeah, are we supposed to pretend that isn't a blatant rip-off of Kane's mask?
Alec Baldlose Or a parody of a Friday the 13th movie poster.
@@cmurphy0707 Or an Angry Bird.
i thought the main event finish when aj and samoa joe were fighting in the crowd was good
Bryan sounds like such a whiny child in this one. "I want what I waaaaant"
