This is recycling, the easy way, through the natural carbon cycle, the released carbon will be re absorbed via trees/plants to produce more biomass ( wood)
@@liveloud9894 So true. And when you add the rain, plants just thrive from the charred ashes. Actually, the ashes may just get blown away before there's any chance for plants to use.
Only you Steve could get over 600 views of burning cardboard boxes!😀. This is coming from someone who lives in a state where doing something like that would get you jailed. Thanks for all your hard work...
Something very satisfying about watching this! I burn old bills and mail in my backyard fire pit. My town picks up cardboard on Thursdays right off the curb. So I don’t have a need to burn it. If they charged me to pick it up, I’d be burning it just like this!
My question is it might be legal but is it safe? I used to recycle cardboard until I learned almost all of it goes to a landfill anyway. I've read mixed things about the inks and dyes being harmful to burn.
I love people that scream to recycle, I wonder if they know that all that stuff comes out of the earth to begin with, we just shape it into different forms, I burn out here in the country all the time. Ashes to ashes and dust to dust!
Hehe, I live in an industrial part of a city and don't have that problem. Neighbors just drive by and don't really care that I'm burning garbage. As long as it's not an out of control fire, they don't care at all.
Lol !! I live in the desert,we can burn, but if i did it the way you are burning, i would set the whole place on fire !! Its good you have green grass !
How is burning cardboard benefit the homestead exactly? Is would be much more useful for weeds suppression in gardens, instead of creating fire hazard through the floating ashes. I first cover my chicken floor with it then put it my garden. Even for insulation.
The pollutants that were released during the burning of this cardboard is still circulating around the planet and interfering with biological processes. Thanks.
@stevenlavimoniere @BrilloHead Come on, I doubt that you guys are actually that selfish & horrible. You breathe air, right? It's kinda important that the air stays clean.
@@JacobBurnette-eo2nr I don't intentionally breathe in the smoke. Besides, the air will just clear itself out overnight. The next day, the air is as fresh as before I even started burning. 🤷♂
@@JacobBurnette-eo2nr In order to really pollute the air, you would have to burn for several hours and days at a time. And the fact is that none of what I burn even lasts that long. Since the burn is not a sustained burn, the air quality issue goes away in a matter of hours. As we head into winter, there will be more wind that blows away the smoke sooner too.
That house's exterior looks like it needs a repaint or at least a cleaning. You never know if there might be a prospective customer in the area who knows you're an HVAC/plumbing guy but thinks, "House fallin' apart? Damn, he must be struggling to make ends meet. Probably lousy at his job!" If you don't want to climb on that ladder yourself, hire a professional. They might be "glorified paint can draggers" but better them than you, eh? ;)
Hi Steve, I hope i'm wrong in my thoughts. Are you a hypocrite? As in one of your videos you said to a bloke that you would not go up stairs if she is smoking. 2nd floor leak from cast iron video. Then watching you stand there burning cardboard with loads of SMOKE. Please explain.
I don't think it's that hard to understand. Being stuck in someone's dumpy little apartment, forced to breath in their cigarette smoke, VS being outdoors in fresh air, and maybe getting an occasional whiff of cardboard smoke if you're down wind.
#beansotoast10 being stuck is a hallway with someone smoking ,filling the hallway i have to work in a small closed space full of unwanted cigerate smoke is a lot different then burning out side did you see me sucking in the smoke ??????
Sure gave the environment the old gundy, mamma ! Your are a very good plumber but apparently a very poor contributor to mankind's well being. All that cardboard could have gotten a second chance. Too bad you chose to turn it needlessly into irritant smoke and global warming gas.
I'm gonna show this to the recycle queen at work and watch her head explode, lol. Thanks for video!

LOL!

Your state has plumbing codes for everything under the sun, I bet they have a recycling program!!

So you're in California?
@OLDHANDYLUKE you mean commiefornia?
the glues in the cardboard are toxic to humans @@oldhandyluke
@@stuartrogers2118 So are cigarettes and alcohol. Hell 2nd hand cigarette smoke is probably way worse than a few cardboard boxes burning.
Man, that's awesome...if I tried to do that here, the folks around me would have a melt down.
Lol, the folks around you are snowflakes.

its to keep idiots from poisoning everyone around them
you need 5 gallon #2 oil to get start lol.
Most satisfying burn I seen in a long time
My question is it might be legal but is it safe? I used to recycle cardboard until I learned almost all of it goes to a landfill anyway. I've read mixed things about the inks and dyes being harmful to burn.
Where did you get all the meat boxes?
i go to the meat market for lettice scraps ,bread, meat, scraps for the chickens .so i get at lease 1 box a day .so they pipe up fast.
Great job Steve, always good to have a burn up.
How did you get the flames to look exactly like John McCain's face screaming in agony like that ?? Amazing
I love people that scream to recycle, I wonder if they know that all that stuff comes out of the earth to begin with, we just shape it into different forms, I burn out here in the country all the time. Ashes to ashes and dust to dust!
Looks like a good bonfire for drinking cold beer.
what do you do with the ashes?
Let the wind blow it away.
In the US you do not have selective sorting on recyclable waste?
e-genieclimatique no
Yes
Where I live, no. Burning is just easier especially since some boxes take up a lot of dumpster space that it's just better to burn it down to ash.
I’m a pyromaniac at heart
Same here
Steve is a busy man folks....no time for gathering/droppi g off recycle b.s.
I’ve done this before and once I through a can in it and it exploded and burned the grass and we had to spray it out with a hose
LoL
The man has cardboard indeed. That looks like a good cart for swap meets.
I have LITERALLY seen it all now. A video of someone burning trash on YT. Life=Complete...!lol! Thrilling???
nice use of a retired oil tank repurposed as a fire pit
If you look closely at 3:10 , you can see Comey exonerating Hillary ...Man , I sure do like drinking ...lol
I miss those days when you could do what you wanted on your own land, now in my town there would be two cops and a code enforcement guy waiting for me
You got that right. Here too!
Hehe, I live in an industrial part of a city and don't have that problem. Neighbors just drive by and don't really care that I'm burning garbage. As long as it's not an out of control fire, they don't care at all.
Something is satisfying, watching things been burned. Something that cannot be explained.
Random Stuff it's in our dna all the way back to our caveman days. Nothing like a firepit blazing away and people flock around it
Me too. And I find it so stress relieving after a hard day's work. They are my only form of entertainment besides watching movies.
something about it is relaxing to me
awesome.. I got to do the same up here in Townsend,MA
Makes me jealous. Where I live you have to put the cardboard out for recycling. It is illegal to.burn trash or leaves in your yard.
Lol !! I live in the desert,we can burn, but if i did it the way you are burning, i would set the whole place on fire !! Its good you have green grass !
What purpose does this serve?
Stress relief.
Safe to burn cardboard box???
Yeah sure. Why not?
Been a long time since we last seen the fire pit
A good fire and roosters crowing, what a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
Lots off card from boilers to Airton units and many parts
Got my short today Steve, its the one with the guy in the front with the company logo.
Hot time at Lavimoniere farms
Steve what a great fire
It couldn't be 7 minutes of burning cardboard? could it? Yup.
I used to burn. But I can't anymore different county I live in
Didn't need the double gundy blowers with the wind that day Steve
whats all the howling - peacocks?
Fire! Fire!
Geez, where is he getting all thesr cardboard boxes from lol
Shes a smoker mamma shes a smoker.
looks like fun.
The roosters are going nuts lol
Doesn’t cardboard given off hazardous fumes? - related to serious disease
How is burning cardboard benefit the homestead exactly?
Is would be much more useful for weeds suppression in gardens, instead of creating fire hazard through the floating ashes. I first cover my chicken floor with it then put it my garden. Even for insulation.
Just recycle it to ash. Takes less space too.
I'm a little let down. I kept waiting for him to bust out the Testo 320 and do a combustion test......lol
Nice Steve 😉
Where is the lighter fluid 😅
Great video Steve! But I am sure someone will tell you that you did it wrong!!!
Who cares what they say?
True Carl but say that to recycle queen at work and you may get choke slammed! Recycling and cats are her life. Sweetheart but a tad nuts.
Got to burn the tax papers
Yay!

Aren't you supposed to recycle that? I'm not whining just here burning trash is illegal, unless it's like twigs and stuff.
Where I live, I can burn just about anything. Don't burn PVC however. That's way too toxic.
must be nice to see the grass we got a ft 1/2 of snow in mi
I burn everything.

Recycle much? or just trying to sell tee shirts...
Hardly. Either stuff gets burned or they go to a dumpster which ends up in a landfill. Burning means less stuff ends up in a landfill.
Surprised you don't have open burn laws
Where I live, we can have open burning as long as there is no burn ban.
