  • You must use your turn signals to signal your intentions to other drivers and road users. Signaling is also an important grading criterion on the driving test because improper signaling can mislead other drivers and lead to an accident. That’s why improper use of indicators can lead to an automatic fail on the driving test.
Driving instructor Jacqueline will drive around and help you understand how and when you should use your turn signals.
In summary, turn signals must be used to indicate your intentions when:
    - entering the flow of traffic
    - when changing lane
    - when parking
    - when merging
    - when turning left or right

    Hi!
Just want to confirm if we are backing out from the parking lot, we also need to signal on which way our rear bumper goes. Some says, we don't need to signal if we are backing out from the parking lot. Which one is right? Signal when backing out from the parking lot or no need to signal whe backing out from the parking lot.

Technically you should, but I personally don't do it unless there's someone near me.

Thank you for sharing! these videos have helped me a lot!! 😃I'm a new driver but I had an accident last month about 2 way stop sign left turn and I'm still a little confused, is it the rule of whoever comes first goes first? Or is it the same rule as a traffic light left turn?I'm in PA. thanks🙂

Hello if it’s a two way stop , and you’re at the stop sign, you don’t have the right of way even if you got there first .

I’m in Michigan. Yeah states vary but be driver safety doesn’t. That’s what I think about it. Went practicing today didn’t really have anything bad except for horrible directions and lane changing.
