I think Two's a Crowd Is arguably the best offering of Pilot ever. They re-recorded many of those songs on the 2002 Blue Yonder album. You might want to check that too.

Pilot are my favorite band from the Isles they're Scottish from Edinburgh. They match the wit, intellect, and melodic splendor of The Beatles, but do it their own way. When a band or an artist create a wholly unique sound I take a lot of notice. Pilot did just that. I had heard about them for awhile before hearing them and when I heard them 23 years ago my 19 year old mind was blown. I didn't realize how much truth their lyrics were hold for me personally. I associate this song with the city of Boston where I found my first of only two copies (I have an equally great one now) of Two's A Crowd. I consider it one of their best and I love that city (and Edinburgh).

Es 2024, hace 50 años, tenía yo 12 años, en mi radio sonaron los acordes de el bajo de David Paton, y el requinto de Ian Bairnson, tocando la introducción de "January", después entró la voz del propio David Paton, y mi vida no volvió a ser la misma, me convertí en su fan para toda la vida, y me moría por ver sus videos en un programa que pasaba los viernes. Compré todos sus sencillos y álbumes que llegaban a mi país México, durante 1974 y 1977. Les perdí la pista, pero nunca dejé de escucharlos y admirarlos. En 1981, escuché en la radio la canción "Games people play" de The Alan Parsons Project, e inmediatamente le dije a mi hermano que eran el bajo de David Paton, y el requinto de Ian Bairnson, yo los reconocí, sin saber que ellos eran los músicos de base, de ese exitoso grupo. En conclusión te digo, Pilot no considero sea una banda subvalorada, quedaron inmortalizados con "Magic" y "January", y los que somos sus fans, sabemos de la calidad de sus demás canciones, por ejemplo "Lovely lady smile", " Just a smile", etc. Y también sabemos que esa calidad la trasladaron a The Alan Parsons Project, otro de mis grupos favoritos. Te felicito por tu gusto musical, y por valorar la calidad, a pesar de que no viviste los años dorados de esta maravillosa banda que es Pilot. Te recomiendo el canal de David Paton, continúa elaborando nuevo y hermoso material. Saludos

Pero Pilot siempre ha tenido su público y fans súper fieles. Ellos (Pilot) decidieron mantenerse en ese perfil. Leí en una entrevista a mi admirado David Paton, que él lo único que quería era tocar y cantar, no saber de los asuntos mundanos, como contratos, firmas, etc. Yo creo que ellos decidieron manejarse así. En México no fue lanzada como sencillo o single. De 1974 a 1977 los sencillos que se promocionaron aquí en mi país fueron "January", "Magic", "Just a smile", "To you alone" y "Canadá. Fue suficiente para que me convirtiera en su fan, para toda la vida. Compré todos sus sencillos y álbumes. Ahora, estoy siempre pendiente del canal de David Paton, sigue lanzando música hermosa ❤❤

Do they still have the original line ups? I can see a new guitar player there and minus a keyboardist.
The keyboard/flute player, was Billy Lyall, who sadly passed away on 1st December 1989.
