This hour long video honestly felt like 15 minutes. Very nice flow, at no point was this ever boring, the game is fantastic, the editing is on point, Tyler's commentary is very entertaining, everything about this video is awesome.
BTW, the default priority setting above the tower selections not only sets future placed towers, but already placed towers (possibly only the once that haven't been individually set, haven't tested though)
Missile Towers are my favorite in the whole game. Their versatility and obscene range makes them a safe choice in pretty much any map so far. They synergize with most of the elements in the game, so artifacts and booster tiles that seem out of your specialization can still be accessed if you are in a pinch. Stacking four frost tiles or range/speed boosts beneath a missile tower is incredible. Or, there's the one artifact that summons Lightning bolts from the sky whenever you deal lightning damage? Just spam base missile towers, or the dirt cheap Drone Towers, and summon Raiden to the battlefield. Pair it with some Poison Showers across a winding maze, and nothing will ever get through.
Upgrading the missiles change their element so you lost power sometimes. I checked on the final wave in around minute 46 and one of em went from 8 electrical damage to 4 frost damage
@@GryphonBlazier still a loss nonetheless, a loss that costs money at that, the chill effect is negligible if you boosts missile launchers that are not in the electric boost cause most of the time enemies will already be chill
for an even harder challenge, try beating heroic with the sacred flame on which you can swap to by clicking on the flame when you choose your character. its an awfully painful experience but since you get a relic per stage the endgame gets pretty funny with it
the decimator upgrades are a little bit confusing when it comes to damage dealt: - the top path is for consuming poison stacks - the bottom path is for building up poison stacks in other words, the bottom path is the damage option, the top path is the utility option (unless you really want to have the +20 single target bonus)
Whenever you upgrade a lighting tower it changes its element and you lose your synergy and your lightning boost. You can see them lose damage whenever you upgrade the ones on lighting spaces.
I don't know about everyone else but I am loving this series. Super entertaining game and the hour long videos allow me to relish it. If anyone else agrees, make sure to like the video and comment so he knows.
You can set the default targeting of each tower type so that you don't have to configure each one you place. The button to do so is in the bottom left, just above where you buy towers.
A bit of feedback, on the off chance you'd want it: I love watching tower defense games, but I have to say, I almost skipped this video because literally nothing in the thumbnail or title suggested it's tower defense, or even the name of the game. At least for me personally, it almost meant I didn't watch it. Also while I'm at giving feedback, the game is amazing to watch, I loooove the long format, you are really spoiling us with the runtime and the editing is on point as always! Cheers.
I'm appreciatimg the genuine joy and enthusiasm you're having for some banger games lately. Your beeak did you well and you've come back stronger than ever!
It would be SICK if the game had a game mode where the enemies would take the MOST optimal route by taking as little damage as possible and not necessarily the fastest. They would for example avoid squares with many towers range on. this would make the strategizing even more complex!
You can set default priorities on towers. right click the tower on the bottom left. Also, when you upgrade a missile tower, it loses electric damage type. So you lose all synergies with it.
Hope this game keeps getting updated. It gave me the same sense of joy that I had when playing bloons as a kid in the library at school on coolmath games.

Hi AR! Someone may have taught you this already, but just in case: You can change the default targeting per tower type by clicking default priority just below the relics. Another banger video
good ol' Tyler not noticing stuff. Going for electric boosts while obliviously removing the electricity from the only tower that has it Edit: he didn't mess it up too badly... even if he didn't notice
I'm not sure but I think I saw decimate tower say - "instakill if the poison is stacked enough to kill" In which case it is a shame it doesn't show in the upgrade menu, because you might've missed that. Fun to see dart spam mega stack a boss, then the decimate onshot from massive hp.
I played this game a lot, and let me tell you, the missile tower is completely busted. (Especially the ice missiles with the black ice and voodoo doll relics)
First of all, element boost tiles boost the tower’s damage if its *damage type* aligns with the type of element that tile boosts. If this element is changed by an upgrade, for example, a missle tower (electric) being upgraded on either path will change its damage type to either fire or ice, nullifying it’s original elemental boost (electric) and making it compatable with either fire or ice. Same goes with artifacts. One other thing I’d like to note is yes, while the decimate tower gets only a 30% boost from a single poison tile and having a lower fire rate, it both has longer range and AOE, allowing it to attack for longer and also to hit more enemies, making it generally a better option to be boosted, same goes for other large towers in spite of their boost reduction. I am not saying this as a screw you, I am saying this because I wish for you to succeed and not have to go through extra difficulty from decisions that may weaken your offense, especially when using sacred flame on heroic.
I think if the money relic slowly increased price to normal if bought at a discount and slowly decreased price to normal if bought when expensive it could remain shifting every round without being quite so busted
I suspect that the money relic is the kind of thing where every once in a while it just straight-up kills you in the first wave or two, and otherwise is super amazing.
The only problem this game has, and it's a big problem, is that it's extremely easy. Even in the hardest difficulty, with Tyler making mistakes, he won effortlessly without losing a single live.
Dude, just try different builds, characters and flames. That’s the spice of life with Rougelikes. Try using towers you never used before, try using artifacts that synergies several elements together (like volatile poison, amplified poison, spark flame, black ice shard and so on). Maybe you’ll find an interesting combo. There is no singular strategy to win sand theres endless (not yet endless but a lot) possibilities! Personally using the Hammers was the most unique tower to try and make work and when it did work it shredded.
