I also learnt PG on the winch 2015-16 onwards. Your video is so much similar to mine, even the actions and instructions of the instructor are very same. Nice to see this video.

Great video thanks for posting but you look way too deep on the brakes as you are lining up for and approaching your landing.

That launch was wonderful. That landing was terrible to watch. You seem to be pretty deep in the brakes the entire time and that makes me nervous. You did not stand up and generate a lot of parasitic drag for the last hundred feet of altitude. When you stand up early and spread your legs and arms out and stopped as much wind as you can it slows down The descent rate tips the nose of the glider down but you're flying with no breaks at the most optimal stable angle you can. When you use the brakes to generate drag you cause an inefficiency in the wing when you have the automatic parasitic drag from standing up and getting wide for the last hundred feet above ground level you will reach a stable steady-state straight angle of descent with a trim speed attitude of the wing but a slower speed. If you fly into dead air with no head wind, everything is tight and you will have a parachutal stall at the worst. If you were sitting in that seat with the least amount of parasitic drag and you're using brakes to slow down a little bit, when you hit that dead air the brakes will yank the wing back into a full stall.

why is your speed system connected to the tow bridal? does it not put the glider in a dangerous state of trim or is it just something unique to your glider? nice tow by the way :)

good spotting, that's dangerous. i see no reason why it would be attached to the tow bridal. on release the trim snapped back

@@onlytwothings it seems to be a common practice. Maybe from keeping the glider from going parachutal.

I actually looked in to this and seems to be a feature of some bridals available in the market. They say it increases speed at take off, reducing chance of a stall.

@@onlytwothings Yes true the AOA of the glider increases and balances it during the towing and reduces any chances of stall if pressure is too high and weak link doesn't break.

@@onlytwothings ⚠️ God has said in the Quran:
🔵 { O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous - ( 2:21 )
🔴 [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him]. ( 2:22 )
🔵 And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you should be truthful. ( 2:23 )

🔵 And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. Nice video, but.. tow feed-out is way too big.. and never ever release under tension!
