Great to see Virgil and Thomas together...:)
Virgil & Thomas Masters!! great interview.....Thanks
25:53 LOL! Tears from laughing! Fun interview!
Funny af!
Virgil, 1:52 "I'm not a super drummer". Little bit of false modesty here? If Virgil isn't a super drummer....who else is the super drummer on this planet? I think Virgil and Thomas are BOTH PHENOMENAL DRUMMERS. Most drummer will probably never reach that level. Absolutely TOP!
Thank you for all the nice comments
What makes these two even more likeable is their self-awareness and grounded attitudes. Clearly, to every other drummer/musician in the world, they are two of the best to ever grace a kit. To them I think they've surpassed any stigma in regard to greatness and have settled more aptly into the confine of seeking to expand and improve their already astonishing abilities for the sake of the music. It's obvious they are two of the best drummers who ever lived. Now it's a question of where do they go from here to there in terms of innovation and those things that fulfill them as individuals.
salt and lemon on the chicken... brilliant Thomas! ha ha ha ha ha ha. Ha!
25:55 look how Mr. Lang is hiding his phone on his hands and then acted like if it was in his back pocket... nicely pulled joke. Bravo.
TWO DRUMMING MASTERS!
I loved the “chicken” comment that Lang said.
25:55 : " Bullshitter Alert! " Gawd, I love Virgil. What. A. Genius.
Great stuff. Love these guys. Great chemistry.
i just wanted to hear Thomas say "Get to da choppa!"
+GamerDares wins :-D
+daonpa 😂😂
Do it! Do it NOW!
happy to see virgil open up a little bit. he always seemed like the serious quiet guy
Such a weirdo but I love it
2 very great drummers :-)
Both phenomenal musicians and this was a great interview. Thanks for uploading. Its funny how Thomas is so much more social and quicker with slang jokes and terms where Virgil is the introvert
These guys chance my life, inspired me to be better all the time , its deep to me to see both talking about
Thanks for making this enjoyable and insightful interview, guests and hosts. Keep em comin'.
Thanks for the great interview Mike. I learn a lot from Virgil and Thomas. They're phenomenal
Probably the Two best of their generation
The Sphere sounds epic. Can't wait to hear the DW show. Thanks a lot of putting it out in here!
Nothings cooler than the modest drummer.
Great show, the best one yet, thanks!
Wow! Two masters in a great interview. Also wonderful interviewer who lets them
speak.
28:11 "i put salt and lemmon in chiken sometimes" cracked me up
Just saw Virgil in clinic tonight and it was awesome. Have met Thomas before too and done a drumming camp with him and it was fantastic
25:50 Lol at Virgil's ringtone when Thomas accidentally butt-dial him
Nice interview and well put together show.
It's like a meeting of the Gods! The Masters!
"bullshit alert !"
That made my day !
Thomas has exactly my kind of humor! 😃

Thank you, it was fun and inspiring video.
Superb as always!
very good interview, can see very fraternal friendly conversation.
25:55 Hahahahaha I bet Virgil has that ringtone set for Thomas Lang only and in fact he's hating him xD xD xD
2 de mis drummers favoritos.
That's a ton of firepower on that red couch.
Show 2 E2 goes live on 29th Feb at 17.00GMT with Gregg Bissonette and Mark Schulman
Awesome, awesome..
There style to me is a different state of musical mind set and odd time playing . I cant count odd time playing that far apart and still be in some sort of time . What am i saying i dont know but it blows my mind to watch either play and very entertaining . Thank you guys
If Virgil's not a super drummer, then I dont know what else to say haha!
Albi Collier ii
42:55 Where can I listen to the entire song? ty
I saw twice Virgil ant the jazz riviera maya festival!!!! Playa del Carmen!!
I have recently discovered Virgil D. and was wondering if he is a big influence for TL. The technical achievements of both are insane (and similar, I think).
Joe1839 yes thomas has said many times, Virgil is a huge inspiration for him indeed.
42:55 name of song please, thanxs
All power to Virgil, he is truly the greatest progressive drummer ever and will likely never be even mildly challenged. Thomas, an excellent drummer, is not in the same stratosphere and he knows it; but Thomas has this hilarious affableness about him, he seems like a very likeable and amusing dude with a cheeky sense of humour, the 'bullshit alert' prank is great! Virgil on the other hand has always had a very socially awkward overly serious intensity about him, great for the relentless pursuit of true excellence but makes for a most uncomfortable interview experience! I'm surprised how many people seem to interpret Thomas as being arrogant, personally I think he is far more affable and humble compared to Virgil's remote intensity and false modesty because he knows he is simply unmatched in the world.
If there was a movie about Thomas Lang, I would say mark wahlberg could definitely play the role. Aside from the height factor. Killer interviews by the way!
Virgil said he loves the uk and London . why does he never(rarely) play herre? last time i saw him was 2007 in Leeds on a small clinic tour. other than playing some gigs with Holdsworth, he hasn't really been over here, gigging it seems
I can`t decide which of them are better :)
Because its neither
Right.
They are just different , that’s the beauty of a player , the story of his her life , his learning experiences , musical influences , and the way the digest it, you could even have two with the “same background” but they will have a different taste , that the beauty of humans versus machines , maybe you are confused with wich you like the most, and there is nothing wrong with that, for example me I prefer listening to Chris Dave for everything said above, but I also know I can’t say he is better than Virgil or Thomas , wich I admire , and I think every drummer who is not jealous (I know it’s hart haha) will.
I like Gill.
Virgil is an Artist ....Thomas is an craftsman! sorry4 fans o

This girl i like.
"OI!"
Virgil NEEDS to move here
If these two aren't super drummers, noone is
it s very annoying how thomas lang is full of himself !!! and look at Virgil, how a humble guy he is. i think perfectness comes with a humble pernosa. That s why Thomas bound to be an average drummer.(technic wise thomas s really good but that s it. if u are not creative, technic is nothing)
ooaslan ha! What a horrible read on TL's character!
Yeah what ya talkin about ? He is a super nice guy, nothing wrong about confidence, if you say to your self “im an excelent drummer” there is nothing wrong, (unless you are foolin yourself) on the other hand “that guy is a piece of shit cause he can’t play double bass like me or him” then that is how you don’t wanna be.
Virgil Donatiiii... Uffffffff...
geez that girl needs to put some clothes on
Lars Ulrich is greater.
Lol
yeah right should meet up with Thomas lang Ulrich gives up drumming
Name of song please!!!!! 42:56
