    The fact that Mothra is viewed by Godzilla as sort of a guiding spirit makes me imagine him quoting Ludwig the accursed upon her death: "You were at my side all along, my true mentor. My guiding moonlight." then Ludwig the holy blade starts playing when he goes thermonuclear

    Even though Godzilla and Mothra are seen to be benevolent Titans, even they aren’t above using brutal force to ensure that the balance stays in one peace. Godzilla himself could potentially be even more destructive than any of the hostile Titans he’s had to contend with.

    Idk,I feel like you're misunderstanding them.
    Yes,Godzilla is the guardian that rules with an iron fist,and has a relatively big ego,but wiping out an entire Titans' species? That goes against everything Titanus Gojira fight for,not even for Kongs,a species that was becoming very dangerous for the Hollow Earth ecosystem,that was a solution,they killed a few of them and exiled the remaining to Skull Island,that's more than enough of an example for everyone else.
    And,man,you did Mothra quite dirty,of course she cares about the individuals,she had people that venerated her as a benevolent and protective deity,so,being a tyrant that goes as far as wiping out a whole species to get to the perfect balance and control,is totally out of her range too.
    If it was the way you portrayed them,humanity was already far gone since the first glimpse of pollution intoxicating the planet,and I get it,you wanted to believe they had a dark side,but,honestly,you're quite off-road this time

      @@tonyg7718 no,they are onto something there,he felt powerful because he defeated King Ghidorah,at that point,he was the undisputed Alpha,and that's when his ego began to show.
      Every Titan must bow to him,or otherwise,he will inflict them a severe lesson,like he did with Scylla and Amuluk,the killing part is reserved only for the ones that are an actual threat to the whole planet's status quo,that's also why he didn't straight up kill Kong,he wasn't a threat for the planet,only for his status of Alpha Titan. Godzilla went heavy on him because he felt disrespected,his ego didn't like Kong's continuous challenges,and his refusal to submit,but,ultimately,respected Kong's bravery even in front of death,and let him die in peace (if he even knew he caused his death,which was stopped by the HEAV explosion of course)

    An awesome idea I had for a sequel was about the humans finding and protecting Mothra egg. Godzilla allows this because he can't protect Mothra's egg and keep the ecosystem in check at the same time.
    However, an ancient enemy of Mothra finds its chance to end its rival's cycle of reincarnation so the humans with Big G Man himself attempt to transport the egg to a safer location.
    I would also love to see Kaijus like Behemoth and Kraken coming to his aid as they technically owe him for saving their lives.

Even if they did instill a bit of fear during their reigns I see that as normal, because the Titans technically don't respect them if they don't also fear them at the same time. But no matter what Godzilla and Mothra will ALWAYS be the most tremendous and most outrageously wonderful King and Queen of the Monsterverse I've ever known and loved, still know and love today and will always know and love, and I don't know any other Titan that could possibly be any better. • @25Erix
    @25Erix 2 года назад +54

    I think there's a fair amount of reach here when the premise of MonsterVerse Godzilla is an apex predator and nothing more. Apexes are top of the food chain for the purposes of resource management. He only had two possible threats to him (the Mutos and Ghidorah) while his species had a rivalry with fellow apex species, the Kongs. He has sapience but I don't think he can be bound to human concepts of rulership when that's not how the natural world works and isn't like how the titans work either. They may be more than mere animals but they still act in a naturalistic way. If anything, the titans are like herd, pack, or colony animals where they have a leader but, as lion prides show, a leader can be displaced so Goji makes sure he stays on top. The Kongs would be more of an exception since they likely have the familial set-ups you see in the great apes.
    As for Mothra, that kind of rips apart her canonical personality and mission. If anything, what you're describing fits Battra more.

      this is just a theory it's not confirmed, also what i know toho told legendary to make mothra doesn't kills, and to know we never saw her kill anyone, and for godzilla, he might do that because all he cares about is to rule the earth and keep it safe, but yeah as i just said keep the earth safe which means i don't think he would wipe all those species just to be a king, also zo zla halawa might be there and i am sure he could destroy both mothra and godzilla solo, if this thing even happened but nah it didn't

    As much as I like this theory I don't think mothra would go that far to ensure violence for upholding supremacy. Sure she impaled Rodan with her stinger but it wasn't outright fatal to him given how she's mainly pacifistic. Although it would probably take like a lot to piss her off, to say if King Ghidorah did managed to completely murder Godzilla right in front of her (if Rodan hadn't interfered from the get go) she'd definitely would've let loose her wrath upon him presumably by encasing his heads in her silk and implanting her stinger right into his chest.

    as explained in Godzilla vs Kong, Godzilla first intent is to have the titan to submit, if the titan refuses to submit, then godzilla is left no choice but to end it. Recall final battle verses Kong, Godzilla had him down, had his foot on his chest, Kong swipes it away, Godzilla was clearly frustrated quenching both his fist and looking angrily straight up and then re-enforce his foot unto Kongs chest this time a crushing stomp, then leans into him and roars, course Kong roars back, remember Godzilla final gesture to Kong before he left Kong for Dead. If you are a titan from here, I think Godzilla and Mothra only desires submission, not from here, those two are saying, you gotta go!!....Just Kong and G-man are extremely alpha nature for their species, reason why isn't rocket science (last of their kind)...Kong or Godzilla never submit to one another, although final battle with mechagodzilla I can see no signs of future battle between the two ( counter productive to both G-man and Kong)...they know they need one another..if mothra is in the next Godzilla vs Kong 2 movie she won't allow the two to face off. Godzilla, Mothra and Kong have too much on their plates

    Thought it may be something else (jk that thing isn't a secret at all). I don't see them as tyrants if they react to threats and don't get anything out of it. Because a lot of titans are violent some order has to be established so their rule has to be accepted. Sadly we don't know much about the relations between titans but it can't be all violent and based on fear especially if Godzilla is expected to lead an actual army. It would be better if that loyalty was built on something. Mothra of course is more gentle, kind of fits the stereotype of a fairy tale queen that keeps more aggressive king in check. But even when he's on his own I don't think he makes others live in fear. Unless you're plotting to destroy the world he's happy to let you live in peace, maybe he'll check on you from time to time like a grumpy but not entirely unfriendly neighbor.
